I was very lucky to be invited to a Bloggers Day at Ocean, Exmouth a week ago. Charlie joined me on the trip as it is a firm favourite of ours, we have enjoyed many a birthday party and soft play date at Ocean so I knew it would be a great day.
If you’ve never visited Ocean before you are in for a treat, it is set right across from the long sands of Exmouth beach with stunning views of the seaside, Dawlish Warren and the edge of the marina. Ocean isn’t just a soft play for children, you can dine there, have drinks, bowl, play in the games room, attend birthday parties, sit on the sun terrace with a delicious coffee and take in the sights, you can even get married there!
I couldn’t wait to be nosy and have a mooch around the top floor where weddings, parties and functions are held as I have heard so many good things about it. The venue really didn’t disappoint, it was stunning. I could just imagine getting married outside – maybe an Autumn wedding during October with fairy lights twinkling in the golden sun set – getting carried away there! As we are getting married in the not too distant future, Ocean is certainly on our list.
Getting back to the Bloggers day, we were greeted with an array of cakes, biscuits, drinks for the minis and a choice of coffees. The staff were friendly, chatty and extremely helpful. The kiddies couldn’t wait to run riot in the huge soft play, I particularly like Ocean as it is so spacious but you can still see the children when they are tearing around. There are gates that keep the children contained so you don’t have to worry about them getting out, there is enough play equipment to keep them entertained for hours.
Charlie has never been bowling before and was very excited at the thought of it. He had these teeny tiny bowling shoes on and was ready to go, he looked so cute. We were treated to nibbles and drinks during our game which went down well, it was a fun atmosphere for all the family.
The day whizzed by and we came away happy and content. It was really nice to meet some local bloggers and network, I’m pleased that these kind of events are being held as I think it builds good relationships and above all you get to meet new people, have a glass of prosecco and a natter – what could be better than that.
