Days Out

Days Out – Puxton Park, Somerset

We spent a lovely day at Puxton Park last Sunday celebrating the park’s 10th Anniversary. If you haven’t visited Puxton Park before (like us) then here is the lowdown.

Puxton Park is based in Somerset approximately half a mile from Junction 21 M5. The park offers a fun filled all-weather day out for the entire family, you will find lots of things to do and see that will keep you entertained all day long. There’s an impressive 3 storey soft play area, animal discovery barn, bumper boats, a miniature railway, falconry centre, ponies, tractor rides, JCB Land, crazy golf, play grounds for all ages, a maze and so much more. You will be exhausted by the end of the day, but should you need a little pit stop there are two areas serving refreshments – McPuxton’s Café and the Meadows Tea Rooms & Restaurant.

We had so much fun bumbling around the park at our leisure, we particularly enjoyed the farm and dairy barn where you could take a walk around the milking parlour. It was really interesting to see where milk comes from and the journey it undergoes. Amelie and Charlie loved to pretend to milk a cow.

As it was the park’s 10th anniversary there were a number of bouncy castles, entertainers and we were treated to a sing song from the Mangled Wurzels. The children loved playing in the huge play parks, we took a little trip on the train and then popped to the rustic farm shop. The vast choice of cider and yummy food caught my eye, it was hard to resist all the lovely produce.

There are events and activities going on all through the summer months such as arts & crafts, disco dancing and a chance to meet the animals up close.

We came away with two totally shattered children who had a blast.
