Cacao & Walnut Pancakes for All The Family

We love pancakes in our house and this recipe has won everyone over. The pancakes are light, fluffy, gooey and delicious, they can be eaten as a snack, for breakfast, as a treat or an after dinner pudding. The best thing is the children think they are eating naughty chocolate pancakes, when cooking they smell like chocolate cake – yum! I like quick and fuss free recipes so am pleased to say you only need a few ingredients to whip up a substantial batch of pancakes. I have teamed up with Indigo Herbs who sent me some amazing ingredients to cook with. The first ingredient is Organic Cacao Powder which…

Butlins, Minehead – Just For Tots Week

We go on a Sun £9.50 holiday every year, some years we have two holidays and others just the once during Autumn. We decided to visit Butlins in Minehead last year for Charlie’s second birthday as we had exhausted all of the “good” Havens in Weymouth and Cornwall and fancied something different. We were very lucky to get the Just for Tots week during April 2016. The Just for Tots week, is as you would expect a week dedicated to the little ones in your family. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I knew it would be entertaining as there is so much to do in and around Butlins.…

    Things I’m Loving

I have a few things I’m loving right now, it’s not a favourites post as such just some things I have purchased over the last month and also some products I’ve been using. Broachurch I realise I’m so late to watch this but, Mr K and I binge watched the entire 3 series of Broadchurch on the FireStick in a week. Oh. Em. Gee!! I bloody loved it. It made me laugh out loud, want to cry and also made my mind tick with “who dunnit”. I’m now really sad it is over as I have nothing to watch, if anyone can suggest a good series please let me know.…

    Gousto Box – My Thoughts

I am a tad late jumping on the food box bandwagon but I have always wanted to give one a go. There are a few out there and I wasn’t sure how I would get on with it. If you asked me just over a year ago to prepare a meal completely from scratch I would have laughed and dismissed it, however since I started cooking from The Body Coach book I have really enjoyed making our meals from scratch. We very rarely have processed or pre-packaged foods at home any more and we feel better for it. I placed an order with Debenhams for a couple of new bras (stay…

    20 Facts About Me

I’m 5ft and a size 6-8, all the ladies in my family are petite. I have naturally curly hair that I straighten every day using the best GHDs. I only go au natural on holiday where no one can see me. I use hairspray to keep my eyebrows in place, a friend of mine introduced me to this method when we were about 17. She used to use an old toothbrush (sorry Chlo!), I’ve done this ever since although I don’t use a toothbrush. I used to hate coffee but since having children I have about 3 cups a day. I’m a nervous driver and hate driving. I haven’t…

    Life Is Changing

We have come to the end of the Easter holidays, the kiddies are stuffed full of chocolate and are restless. Amelie is so ready to go back to school, she has been a little delight to have home these past 2 weeks I’ll be sad to hand her back to school but I will also be glad of some routine again and I definitely couldn’t have a hyper, chatterbox of a 5 year old home all the time, I would be in the corner rocking back and forth. Charlie starts preschool tomorrow morning, I’m emotional but happy for him. He will be super and I’m so excited for his next…

    What Mummy Eats

So here is another ‘What Mummy Eats’, I received some really positive feedback from the last one which was great. Breakfast I had an almond croissant and strawberries for brekkie on this particular day, I wouldn’t normally have this but enjoyed it as a treat. I also had a coffee and some water. Almond croissants are my fave, I prefer them over the chocolate ones – yummy. Snack We had a playdate after breakfast and when we got home we all had a chocolate crispy cake that the children had made the day before, they went a tad overkill with the edible glitter. I had another coffee, ah that sounds…

    Happy 3rd Birthday Charlie

So today I officially am a mummy to a 3 year old, wth! The last 3 years have been a whirlwind of emotions, milestones, tantrums and fun, I can’t quite wrap my head around the fact we have well and truly left the newborn/baby stage, waved goodbye to the toddler days and are now entering the preschool years. I’m sad about all of this obviously as I’m not having any more children, on one hand I would love another baby I’m super broody as there seems to be babies everywhere at the minute but on the other hand I’m totally done with the sleepless nights, endless night feeds, engorged leaky…

    March Favourites – Children Edition

I hope everyone is enjoying the Easter holidays, what a cracking day we’ve had in Devon today the sun has shone all day and it puts me in the best mood. Here are some of the products, toys, foods the children have been loving during March. I have always loved divided plates I find they are super useful if your child is a fussy eater and doesn’t like foods to mix. I love these Munchkin apple shaped plates as they are the perfect size for lunches, dinners and snacks, both Amelie and Charlie love eating from these plates. I really rate Munchkin, the cups are fantastic and the quality is…

Pros & Cons Of Being A Stay-At-Home Mum

I have been a stay at home mum for 5 years including maternity leave. Pre kids I was always one of those ladies who intended to return to work after children. Even when I was pregnant with my first child I could see myself going back to work after maternity leave had ended, that was until I had my baby. My whole world changed, my outlook on life altered and I just knew I could not return to work. This was my own personal choice and I am in no way dissing working mums as I think being a mum in general is the toughest job us ladies undertake. I admire…
