    Happy Halloween!!

It is finally here, one of my favourite times of year… Halloween! The house is decorated, the treat bowl is full, pumpkins are glowing and there is an air about our neighbourhood – so exciting! But, my little pumpkins may not be going out trick or treating as Amelie has a nasty virus along with a high temperature. So she was very excited to find out we had been sent a fab bag of Sweet Champions – Halloween edition made by Tangerine Confectionary. If you were an 80s or 90s child you will remember these sweets well, they have so many golden oldies on their website. My favourites are Wham Bars,…

Hendra Holiday Park – Newquay, Cornwall Adventures

We have just returned from a lovely weekend break at Hendra Holiday Park in Newquay, Cornwall. This was our annual Halloween break we do through the Sun newspaper, this year we chose Hendra. It was a really nice park with excellent facilities and fab entertainment, the children loved the Halloween disco and taking part in the activities. We were booked into a standard caravan, it was clean, basic and perfectly fine – just what you would expect. However, I think my days of staying in a budget caravan are over though. I’m no good with other people’s beds, funny smells and bits on the floor, I just cannot relax at all, I’m looking…

Pumpkin Picking – Days Out In Devon

Ever since the children were born I have wanted to visit an authentic pumpkin patch to pick our own pumpkins and take cheesy photos. I’ve searched high and low to find one in Devon but have never been successful… until now. I first heard about Lifton Farm Shop when I read a post by a fellow Devon blogger, Gina over at Gypsy Soul. When I read all about Pumpkin Fest I couldn’t wait to plan our visit, I did have to wait nearly a year though, ha ha. We decided to visit Lifton Farm Shop last weekend, at the start of Pumpkin Fest. When we arrived everyone was really excited…

    Kids Halloween Basket

I realise this is a bit Halloween overkill but we love it in our house and I never had a Halloween basket when I was little. Everywhere you look now there are suggestions for what to put in a Halloween basket and my feed on Instagram is full of them. I always put together a basket for the children to enjoy over the October half term, they love rummaging through the goodies and getting excited for all the bits and bobs I’ve selected for them. This is what is in this years basket, I’ve reduced the amount this time as we are off on our holibobs soon and I wanted…

    Weekend Adventures

It has been a long old week full of illness running into the weekend, Sunday is here and I’m struggling the most. But, we had to get out of the house as we were climbing the walls. Saturday We had every intention of going to Exmouth carnival but we were all feeling under the weather still. The children were bored so we decided to take a trip to Bicton Park for the last hour and a half of the day and really enjoyed it. It was lovely and quiet, the children were able to run riot around soft play and let off steam. I felt so sick I had to…

A Year Old – Thank You!!

I cannot believe I was sat in this spot a year ago today (12th October) feeling nervous and a bit cringed out as I published my first ever blog post. Here I am still sat in the same spot writing this post, what a year it has been. I’ve grown so much in confidence not only through blogging but in my personal life as well, I’ve made some lovely online friends and I’ve read some fantastic blogs. I never imagined in a million years I would have the opportunity of working with some top brands, collaborating with new businesses and becoming part of the Blog Squad with MeetOtherMums, I feel very…

    Sick Note

Being poorly as an adult is bad enough but being poorly sick when you are a parent is bleddy horrendous! We have been struck down with a god awful sickness bug that we are still in the thick of. No amount of antibacterial hand gel or wipes or sprays could have prevented this one. It all kicked off on Sunday, Amelie had been complaining of feeling unwell all week with a tummy ache and feeling tired etc. I knew something was brewing as I had been feeling quite similar apart from I kept burning up from the inside. We popped to The Range on Sunday morning, Amelie said she felt…

I’ve Lost It… But, I’m Working On It

Life has been a little crappy for the last 4 weeks for many personal reasons and I’ve also been under the weather. I haven’t felt like working out or eating clean, I have probably only worked out about 6 times in the last month as I have just lost interest in it. I was working out consistently for 8 months never missing a week, but due to not feeling well and life taking over I’ve lost it and can’t be bothered. My eating habits have been all over the place, I have eaten pretty much whatever I’ve fancied – bread, crisps, chocolate, take away – I have had a very…

Keeping Germs At Bay With Milton Antibacterial Products

As a family we often eat out, either at a pub, café, soft play or just in the park. I’m very conscious about sticky tables, grotty high chairs and mucky hands, so I always carry hand gel and wipes with me. Milton very kindly sent me some antibacterial surface wipes and antibacterial hand gel to try out. Milton is celebrating over 70 years of protecting babies from germs with their sterilisation and hygiene products. They have an extensive range of items such as washing up liquid, hand gel, surface wipes and surface spray to use around the house and whilst you are out and about. I used to use the spray and…
