A Sunday Well Spent…
They say a Sunday well spent, brings a week of content and I sure hope that’s true. We had a lovely family Sunday eating out, cooking together, playing with vintage Lego and ending it with a big roast dinner. Sunday morning was spent at a trendy bar for breakfast. We usually go to Wetherspoons but fancied somewhere a little different so we headed to Spoken in Exmouth. The food was so delicious and excellent quality with lots of choice on the menu. The children shared American Pancakes with Nutella whilst Mr K and myself chose the Across The Pond breakfast I wasn’t expecting it to be as huge as it…

Understandably, when you have a child, his or her health and well-being becomes your first priority, while all of your other responsibilities seem to fall to the back burner. Easy Homemade Turkey Burger Recipe
I really enjoy cooking from scratch, some may think it takes too long but personally I love to know what has gone into my food and make sure there are no hidden extras in there. I used to buy my turkey burgers from Asda, the sweet chilli ones are so good but as I have changed supermarkets – I now shop in Aldi – I have no need to buy them. Making turkey burgers is so quick and easy I prepared this recipe whilst my children were eating dinner so time really isn’t an excuse not to give them a bash as they literally take 10 minutes if that to…

Girls Spring ’18 Lookbook
With Spring being just around the corner, my thoughts at this time of year always turn towards Spring fashion and putting outfits together. I especially love seeking outfits for the children and am lucky enough to have a girl and boy to dress, having said that I do find it easier to shop for Amelie as there are so many pretty tops and dresses. With this in mind, I have put together a Girls Spring ’18 Lookbook to give ideas and inspiration. Outfit One The shorts/tights combo is really cute and great for transitioning into the warmer (fingers crossed) weather. I love the bright pop of colour on the t-shirt…

A Day In The Life Of A 3 Year Old
3 year olds have the life of riley most days, they get up, make demands, eat you out of house and home, play, lounge around and get to be crazy without people batting an eyelid. I thought I would give you an insight into my 3 year olds day. WEDNESDAY 7TH FEBRUARY 2018 5.45am “Mummy, mummy, can we go in the front room yet?” Oh gosh, he’s awake nearly an hour before my alarm is due to go off. I try to snooze for another 30 minutes and say it isn’t time to get up quite yet but I’m faced with a small hand picking my face, pulling my eyelids…

Meal Plan & Work Outs
For my meal plan this week I want to mix it up a bit and try to have a week of reduced carbs, especially when it comes to dinner time. I’m continuing to calorie count using My Fitness Pal which is working really well and I’ve lost another 3lbs whilst still having treat days/weekends. I get a lot of meal inspiration from Instagram and Pintrest, although I’m not a fan of sea food apart from the odd prawn and tin of tuna, that’s about as adventurous as I get. MEAL PLAN Monday – Homemade Turkey Burgers & Rainbow Salad Tuesday – Spicy Prawn Salad Wednesday – Chicken & Avocado Salad…

How To Be Organised & Productive
I have always been one of those annoying people who likes to be organised, that is probably why I chose a career as a Legal Secretary/Admin Assistant (pre children). Being productive however can be tricky especially since my children started school. During the early days when I had a toddler and newborn we spent our days going off plan, routine was still there but our days were not structured. Now both are at school (one at preschool) I have to be on the ball with school events, dentist appointments, parent evenings, reading etc. I have put together a few hints and tips that may assist you in becoming more organised…

Weekend Adventures – Torquay, Coffee & New Shoes
So it was the first weekend of February, we made it through the January blues. Both of my two are so ready for half term which is at the end of the week, I’m certainly ready for slow paced mornings and no school runs – yippee! Saturday We were up super early on Saturday which is not ideal but we had a very important event that morning. As we were all up and dressed Mr K suggested we head to Torquay for the afternoon as we had not been since the summer. The forecast predicted rain, however the sun shone all day for us, it was glorious. We headed to…

CLOSED **WIN** Indigo Herbs Valentine’s Aromatherapy Massage Oils
A bit of a saucy one for you today, if these massage oils don’t put you in the mood for romance I don’t know what will. As parents we tend to put other priorities before our own, I know I’m guilty of that. Days are busy, time is short and all you want to do at the end of the day is flake out on the sofa in your jim jams and binge watch a box set. I do think it is important to have that quality time with your other half especially on Valentine’s day, we tend to go out on date nights (occasionally) but more often than not…

CLOSED **WIN** A Bottle of Peaky Blinder Spiced Gin Courtesy of 31Dover.com
Second Gin post of the week, I swear I drink water too! How amazing does the Peaky Blinder Spiced Gin look? I can say first hand that this gin is so good and a perfect present for the Mr in your life for Valentine’s Day. Sadler’s Peaky Blinder Spiced Dry Gin is obviously named after the iconic Birmingham street gang but also with reference to the brilliant TV show, Peaky Blinders (such a good series). The gin is surprisingly refreshing poured over crushed ice, topped with tonic water (I used Fever Tree, Naturally Light) with a squeeze of zesty lime – perfect! It is bold in flavour with hints of…
