    Children’s Spring Fashion Wishlist

Although it may still be freezing and raining, spring has certainly arrived. Whenever the seasons change I like to go through the children’s wardrobes to see what still fits and what we need to donate or sell. I have a big bag of clothes from the previous year in the loft full of summer clothes that could be worn during spring but layered up. I love nothing more than browsing online shops to see what new collections are in and what goodies they have in stock. I have been putting together a spring wishlist for a while now and thought I would share a few items that have caught my…

My Fairy Garden Fairy Picnic Basket – Review

There has always been mystery and magic associated with fairies and I remember being fascinated when I was a little girl. Now I have a little girl, who is equally as curious as I was and loves all things fairies. Amelie has a dream catcher fairy who is hanging above her bed, we talk to her every night before sleepy byes, so I knew she would love the gorgeous My Fairy Garden Fairy Picnic Basket. When we received the Fairy Picnic Basket both Amelie and Charlie were jumping around eager to open it. The first thing you notice is of course the beautiful fairy called Blossom and her bunny friend,…

Young Driver Lesson In The Firefly

When I was contacted by Young Driver asking if my 6 year old daughter would like a driving lesson I thought it was a joke. I quickly got my Google search on and was excited to find a brilliant company especially designed for teaching road safety as well as providing driving lessons to 5 – 17 year olds. When I told Amelie about it she looked a bit baffled, I’m sure she imagined herself getting strapped into a car like mummy and daddy drive and speeding off down the road. I put her mind at ease by showing her the Firefly car she would be driving, this car has been…

    Children’s Current Favourite Toys

Sharing a few of the children’s current favourite toys, these toys have been played with constantly during the past couple of months. Descendants DVD I’m not sure where Amelie’s obsession with these films began but we have had to endure hours of watching these two dvds. She is utterly crazy for them, her favourite characters are Mal, Ben, Evvie and Carlos. The songs are really catchy and I quite like the movies myself. Descendants Dolls I bought Amelie the Evvie doll for Christmas not really knowing much about her. Amelie obviously adore her and I was so excited to find the Mal doll in Home Bargains I couldn’t resist picking…

    One Of Those Weeks

I’ll be honest, this week has seen tears, meltdowns, laughter, new adventures, anxiety and so much more – we are only at Wednesday and I’m done! I’m having one of those weeks where nothing goes to plan, things go wrong and emotions are sky high. I could bottle it all up and feel 10xs worse but I feel like I need to have a massive cry and then everything will be okay again, anyone else get like this? Yesterday tipped me over the edge and I needed to get out into the fresh air. Thankfully the sun was shining and it was warm, I wrapped Charlie up and we headed…

Weekend Adventures – Driving Lesson & Mother’s Day

My weekend kick started on Friday night, I went out for dinner with a couple of my mummy friends. It was lovely to have a chit chat out of the playground, enjoy a glass (or two) or wine and munch on our dinner without having to share our food or entertain little people. Saturday I know I moan about the weather a lot but, I am so ridiculously fed up with the miserable rain and dull days we have at the moment. They do nothing for my mood, I don’t want to leave the house and I’ve got frizzy hair all the time – grrrrr! Anyway, it was pouring down…

    Current Beauty Favourites

I’m sharing a few of my current favourite beauty items to brighten up this miserable wet day we are having. I’m sat here with my hair in a bun soaked in coconut oil waiting to wash it and typically it is pouring down outside, this always happens to me when I want to wash my hair! Beauty Favourites St. Ives Oatmeal Scrub I found this little gem at Home Bargains for a fraction of the price, I’ve been using this brand for around 17 years (gosh, that makes me sound old) and I think it is the best exfoliator out there. I never get any irritation or breakouts from using…

    Mummy, But A New Me

They say motherhood changes you and I absolutely agree. Since becoming a mum I have become a better version of me and I’m starting to enter a new stage of parenthood. During the early years I had no idea what the heck I was doing, I would read books, listen to friends advice and copy other mums. But nothing can prepare you for raising your own child, I was putting all these silly things into place because I thought I had to, I thought by this stage I should be doing this and my baby should be doing that, ugh! Looking back I really wish I just listened to my…

    Snow Day!!

We had a snow day!! Well, a couple of snow days actually I cannot believe Devon finally got to experience the white stuff and I don’t think anyone was prepared for the amount that fell. I got a text to say both schools were closed so we were free! I was so excited for Amelie and Charlie to see proper snow, it really was a magical time for them especially being so young. They will never get to experience playing in the snow as a child again and I wanted to soak up every single second of it. I became that mum who took far too many pointless photos but…
