Contraception & Monthly Cycle Post Children

    April 27, 2018 /

A bit of a TMI post so apologies if this offends. But, I thought I would pop on and share my experience of what it is like for me each month when the dreaded time arrives as so many mums have told me they too experience horrendous periods after giving birth. Background So before having children my periods were very hit and miss, I was always regular but the symptoms were either really extreme or minimal. I haven’t had a great experience with contraception and cannot take the pill due to migraines but I was on the Depo Injection for about 8 + years. The injection if you aren’t familiar…

What I Eat In A Day

    April 25, 2018 /

I’m sharing what I eat in a day, I realise this does not look like a lot of food but some days I’m just not hungry. I am quite strict during the week and then eat (within reason) what I want at the weekend, it is what works for me. I pigged out during Easter I just couldn’t resist all the mini eggs, but eating junk food constantly makes me feel really bloated and unhealthy. Breakfast – Nomadic Yogurt & Oats This has been my favourite go-to breakfast for about 2 months now and I absolutely love it. It is filling, tasty and is great if I am in a…

    House Hunting With Children

    April 23, 2018 /

Looking for a new home is stressful enough but house hunting for the perfect family home that ticks all the boxes is on another level. I wish this was a post about helpful hints and tips for moving with children, maybe that will come in the future. We knew we were going to have to move house when Charlie came along, it isn’t an easy decision to make as we love our home and the area we live in but the decision to move has been made even harder as we have two children who are of an age where they are certainly aware of what moving entails. House hunting…

Chin, Chin – Gin Festival 2018, Torquay

    April 20, 2018 /

Gin for the win, they say! What better way to find out what your tipple is than to attend a festival especially for gin lovers. I’ve only ever been to a chilli festival in my time so I was excited to have been invited to The Gin Festival 2018 held in Torquay, Devon. This is the second gin festival that has been held in The Assembly Hall in Torquay, organisers were expecting a whopping 1,500 gin fans across 3 separate sessions. Upon arriving we were greeted by a lovely team who informed us of what was what, I took Mr K with me as I knew he would enjoy the…

Finding The Perfect Shoe with XYLONDON

    April 16, 2018 /

Finding the perfect shoe can be a challenge. As I’ve gotten older I have realised I need staples in my wardrobe, I don’t go “out out” anymore but I might have the odd date night, dinner out with the girls or a wedding/celebration to attend and I need a smart shoe. I’m a big fan of nude coloured shoes especially heels I think they are classic and go with any outfit. But, finding the perfect shoe for said occasion is really tricky. I have small feet, I’m a UK size 3 and have quite wide feet – not hobbit feet or anything – so struggle with stiletto heelsĀ as they pinch…

My Nametags Colour Stickers – Review

    April 13, 2018 /

It is the last day of the Easter holidays and my thoughts have turned towards getting organised for the return to school. By the end of each term belongings become tatty and written on nametags have worn off. My Nametags provide the best labels, they have a huge selection of designs for you and your children to pick from. There are two types of labels to choose from – colour stickers and iron on labels. Personally I prefer the colour stickers as I like to use nametags everywhere and I cannot be bothered with sewing on labels for both children, they have lots of clothing and items to take to…

The Big Sheep Family Attraction, North Devon

    April 11, 2018 /

Whenever we plan a day out as a family to an attraction it always rains, and last weekend was no exception. We were kindly invited to spend the day at The Big Sheep in North Devon – the all weather attraction. I have to admit I was kind of discouraged by the rain and thought we would end up spending most of the day cooped up in soft play. When we arrived we put our wellies on and made our way to the entrance, the park is set in a woodland surrounding which is very pretty. Once we checked in with the friendly staff we were told the Easter egg…

Lucy Sing and Dance – Club Petz (Review)

    April 9, 2018 /

Lucy is the gorgeous yappy pup that all children love to play with. She is now back with extra tricks – she sings and dances! When we received Lucy Sing and Dance, Amelie and Charlie were so excited and couldn’t wait to unbox her. With the latest version of Lucy, you can download a free app for added fun. Of course you can still operate her by using voice commands but we were keen to download the app and find out what she could do. Lucy has two modes, the voice command mode and the app. Downloading the app was very simple and really quick, you need to press Lucy’s…

Hallmark I’m starting with a different kind of gift first as I think this is just as important as a present. Cards – you have to get it right!
