    Summer Outfits of the Week

    June 29, 2018 /

A little bit of a different post today, this is something that I’ve been eager to put together but nervous all the same. I love fashion and putting outfits together, if you follow me on Instagram you may have noticed I’m trying to add more fashion photos of myself. I’m not the most confident at putting my face out there but what the heck, everyone else is doing it so why can’t I? I love watching ‘A Week in my Wardrobe’ Youtube videos of my favourite Mums and thought I would share what I’ve been wearing this week. Please forgive the photos though, I am going to have a better…

    Mental Health

    June 27, 2018 /

Mental health is a really sensitive subject that no one really likes to delve into much. Personally, I get the feeling that if we say how we feel we are labelled as depressed straight away. This isn’t always the case, surely you can feel a certain way but not be depressed? I wish I could express exactly where I’m at with life right now but I live in a very small town and I know people in my town read my blog, I’m just not comfortable sharing everything and being talked about. I know you’re probably thinking ‘what’s the point in this post then?’. Well, if I don’t get at…

    Summer Daze

    June 25, 2018 /

Summer has arrived with a bang hasn’t it!? I can’t believe how lucky we have been to bask in the boiling hot sunshine over the last few days. We have made the most of the weather, dining outside, playing in paddling pools, going on walks and out for brunch, it certainly puts us in a good mood. Trouble is, my wardrobe is not equipped for tropical climates so I’m kind of rotating dresses and digging out “holiday” clothes, you know the type of outfit you’d wear abroad where no-one knows you – I’m embracing it though. I thought I’d share some photos of our summer adventures so far, this post…

What My 4 Year Old Ate Today

    June 20, 2018 /

4 year olds are a tricky bunch to please and I find most of my battles with Charlie are over food. I have learnt very well to pick my battles with both children especially at meal times, so here is what Charlie ate today. Breakfast This morning Charlie ate, sourdough toast with flora spread and marmite. I also gave him a small bowl of strawberries along with a drink of milk. Lunch It was a preschool day so I packed him up with a cheese mini wrap, a pot of raspberries and strawberries, a Yeo yoghurt, some BBQ Mini Cheddars, Bear Paws and an apple juice. He ate everything apart…

Children’s Medical Essentials I Cannot Live Without

    June 18, 2018 /

Pre children I would have a medical cupboard where I would store the usual paracetamol, vitamins and every diet pill going. Fast forward 6 years and I could give Boots a run for their money with the amount of lotions and potions I have in my now extended medical cupboard. Being the person I am, I like to be prepared for every drama that is thrown at me morning, noon and the middle of the night. My children fall ill during the night quite a lot, usually with a high temperature which terrifies me and possibly a rash to go with it. Over the years I’ve learnt not to panic…

Weekend Adventures – House Hunting & Hair Cuts

    June 11, 2018 /

We didn’t have any real plans for the weekend apart from house hunting. We had 6 houses to view on Saturday which by the end of the day our heads were scrambled, we stopped off at a beautiful pub for a drink. I chose an Espresso Martini, Mr K had a beer and the children had chocolate donuts and dip, they are pros at viewing houses now so a reward for being so good was certainly deserved. I didn’t feel quite right all day on Saturday and after the Espresso Martini, which was just like drinking sugar (I couldn’t drink it all) I was feeling so so poorly. I couldn’t…

    What I Ate Today

    June 8, 2018 /

I’m back with another ‘What I ate today’ post. I love seeing what people eat, one, because I’m nosy and two, because it gives me meal inspiration. Breakfast – 7.00am No surprises here, my favourite breakfast of all time – Nomadic Yogurt & Oat Clusters. Charlie loves these so I have to sneak my breakfast as he will be straight in there even if he’s had his porridge. Lunch – 12.00pm I was starving today, I’ve been to the gym this week and it makes me ravenous. I crave all the carbs it is so hard to resist so I try and stick with healthy carbs and protein. Today I…

Mum Life – Finding The Balance

    June 6, 2018 /

House work, school runs, swimming lessons, food shopping, house hunting, trying to balance life itself is all a bit much. How do you find a healthy family/life balance? For the last month or so I have felt really out of sorts with juggling life, we are currently selling our house and trying to find the perfect family home so things have been a bit stressful. But, I feel in a rut with many mundane things such as meal planning, keeping on top of house work and trying to divide myself between all of the family and it is proving tricky. As you know I do my food shop at Aldi…

    Father’s Day 2018 Gift Guide

    June 4, 2018 /

Whoever you are buying for this Father’s Day, I have some excellent gift inspiration to share that may assist in finding that perfect present. Dobell Cufflinks Cufflinks are that one staple in every man’s wardrobe that you can really have fun with. My children love picking out quirky cufflinks for Mr K and I think they are such a thoughtful gift. Dobell have a great range of cufflinks from blingy diamanté to pints of beer, they also have many other men’s accessories to choose from and are really budget friendly, making them a great go-to for that special Father’s Day pressie. Wilkinson Sword Hydro 5 Sense Razors are an essential for…

    Monthly Favourites – May 2018

    June 1, 2018 /

Another month has been and gone, May was fab weather wise wasn’t it? I have lots of favourites from last month to share with you so let’s get cracking. Saltwater Rose Gold Slides I have admired Saltwater sandals for years, although they look fab on others I really didn’t think I would own a pair. Not being horrible but, the traditional style look a bit granny-ish for me and I would not be brave enough to pull a pair off. Having said that, I was utterly delighted to see Hannah Michalak  wearing a pair of these rose gold slides they looked so gorgeous I just had to brave it and…
