    Summer Fashion with River Island

    July 27, 2018 /

My style and fashion has changed dramatically over the last 6 years, well, since becoming a parent really. I’ve never been a throw on a pair of joggers and a top kind of gal, I like to get up put my face on, do my hair and pick out a nice (comfortable) outfit. I’ve always been into fashion and enjoy pinning outfit ideas as well as scrolling Instagram for inspiration. If I’m being honest I do find dressing for the summer months quite a challenge, I want a pretty outfit without falling into the too frumpy or mumsy trap. I wouldn’t ever wear short shorts with my bum cheeks hanging out…

Weekend Adventures – Decluttering, Flat Whites & Sunshine

    July 24, 2018 /

Aren’t these summer weekends full of sunshine, fun and gin just brilliant!? We are really making the most of getting out and enjoying the weather as you never know how long it is going to last. Saturday We had a mad busy week last week so were looking forward to a slow paced start to Saturday. We spent the morning decluttering the loft, listing items for sale online and being really ruthless getting rid of old toys. I do love a declutter and clean out it makes me feel somewhat organised in my mind. As the sun was shining we decided to spend the afternoon outside, we headed to Home…

    What I Ate Today

    July 20, 2018 /

What I ate today (Thursday) wasn’t really that exciting, I don’t know about you but when it is roasting outside my eating habits are all over the shop. One minute I’m not hungry and the next I’m ravenous, anyway here is today’s eats. Breakfast – 6.30am I had one of my favourite combos this morning, a nakd bar and a Granny Smith apple. I’ve started putting my apples in the fridge, they last so much longer and are super tasty. Lunch – 12pm You are going to look at this and think how disgusting I am. I promise these foods put together taste really nice. I mix my tin of tuna with…

    Summer Holiday Planning

    July 18, 2018 /

What a busy but fun week we are having, the last full one before the children break up for the summer holidays. I am trying not to panic over them being at home for 6 whole weeks and how on earth I am going to keep them entertained without losing my own sanity. One thing is for sure this summer break, I am NOT going to feel guilty for not taking them to an attraction every day. Every year I feel this pressure and need to have to make every single moment fun and exciting for the children. Granted, it was easier to keep them busy when little as they…

    Summer Reading List

    July 16, 2018 /

When I was younger I used to read books all the time. I would go up to my bedroom (which I shared with my sister) lay on bed and escape to a world of imagination. I would read anything from pony stories to “horror” who remembers Goosebumps books? I was obsessed with these books and would get so excited to finish a book and move onto another. Even when I didn’t have children I found time to read, I love getting stuck into a good book, you can totally escape real life and imagine what the characters look like and how they would react to situations. Now, I’m gonna say…

The Paulos Circus – Creating Memories Tour 2018, Darts Farm, Topsham

    July 10, 2018 /

You know summer is here when The Paulos Circus rolls into town. This year we were treated to the #CreatingMemoriesTour2018, which took over 8 months planning to perfect an outstanding performance. If you have visited this particular circus before you will know how much time and effort goes into each show and will not be disappointed this year, it blows the other shows out of the water. The Creating Memories Tour really does live up to its name, it is a visual, dramatic, breath-taking and interactive delight which captures the attention of the whole family. Upon arriving, after being seated we were greeted by everyone’s favourite clown – Mr N. Amelie and…

    Crealy Great Adventure Park, Exeter

    July 4, 2018 /

We decided to spend Sunday funday at Crealy Great Adventure Park, Devon last weekend. Mr K had been working for 20 days straight and we needed a proper family day out to let loose and have some fun with the children. As always with these great plans the weather was not on our side, in fact we encountered torrential rain for most of the day. I had packed a huge bag with the kiddie’s swimming things, towels and sun cream as Crealy have a Soak Zone which we’ve never been to before. Unfortunately we never got to experience that as the weather was so bad, but we validated our ticket and…
