    Life Lately

    August 31, 2018 /

Hi guys, how is everyone? Are you all ready for the big return to school next week? I’m nearly there with the uniforms etc, I just need to get the children’s school shoes. I tried to get them last week in Exeter, however I was met with a ticket from what looked like a deli counter ticket machine and told to wait in a room full to the brim of stressed out parents. I took one look and bolted, only to be told by the ever so helpful sales assistant that I could in fact ‘book an appointment’ – errrrmmmm, no thanks! Mr K has been on annual leave for most…

2018 Back To School Essentials – Are You #TermReady ?

    August 24, 2018 /

Back to school shopping is a stressful time for parents, if like me, you tend to leave things until the last-minute you will know this feeling all too well. There’s 1 week until my daughter goes back to school and 2 weeks until I have to let my little chap go into reception and I have only bought polo shirts – oops!! Here is my list of Back To School Essentials to which I will be working from. Uniform I’m being a bit savvy this new school year – tight, if I’m honest. Amelie still fits into her school skirts and cardigans so she will be reusing these until she grows…

Weekend Adventures – Sidmouth, Starbucks & Dawlish Warren

    August 21, 2018 /

We had a full on weekend out and about to keep the children entertained as they have been bickering constantly over the last couple of weeks. We are out of routine, having late nights, early starts and just generally being busy so everyone is tired and ratty. Saturday It took forever to get organised and out of the house on Saturday for some reason everyone was on a go slow. The last time we ventured to Sidmouth was exactly a year a go, we went to the Anchor Inn for some lunch and mooched around the town ending up at Jacobs Ladder. I’ve never walked through the gardens before but…

    Friday Thoughts

    August 17, 2018 /

How are the summer holidays going for you, have you been abroad or had a stay-cation? I can’t believe we only have 3 weeks left of lazy starts and no routine. I’m trying not to think about Charlie starting big school or Amelie going into Year 2 as it is really bittersweet and I just want to soak up our time left together. Having said that, I’m going to be completely honest and say I have now reached the point where I’m absolutely exhausted, utterly drained and feel like there is no escape for me. I know I’m extremely luck to be able to stay at home with the children…

What My Children Eat During The Summer Holidays

    August 13, 2018 /

My children are eating me out of house and home this summer holiday. As soon as breakfast is over they are asking if it is lunch time, seriously how hungry can they really be?? My shopping bill has increased by a good £20 just on snacks and extra “bits” for them, they act like they’ve never been fed in their lives. Here is a good day of eating for them, they love to graze during the day but I try to limit the snack attacks. Breakfast This morning the rugrats had, Aldi crumpets topped with Nutella along with strawberries and a glass of milk. This is not an everyday breakfast,…

Ingredients 2 x Chicken Breasts (more if you are feeding the family) 2 x Peppers 1 x Red Onion 1 x Fajita Dinner Kit (this includes the seasoning) 1 x Lime 1 x Tinned Chopped Tomatoes 1 x Tsp Garlic Method For ease and laziness I like to buy a fajita dinner kit as it includes the wraps, salsa and seasoning. Protecting Children’s Eyes With Cébé Junior Collection Sunglasses

    August 3, 2018 /

When it comes to protecting children during the summer months we go crazy slathering on the factor 50+ but often forget about protecting our children’s delicate eyes. From an early age both of my kiddies wore sunglasses, not the novelty ones as they have no protection whatsoever. Cébé are a superb brand with a fantastic range of sunglasses for babies and children. They protect from UVA/UVB rays and also harmful blue light. We were asked if we wanted to try out a couple of pairs of sunglasses from the new Cébé Junior Collection range, Amelie received the very trendy Matt Black Pink 1500 Grey PC Blue Light Pink Flash Mirror…

    August 1, 2018 /

Exclusive to Crealy this summer is the fast and fun City Cirque Xtreme Urban Stunt Show.  This is not like any other show I have ever seen which is exciting and crazy all at the same time, you will be gasping with fear and wonder as you watch. From acts such as the brilliant Chinese pole artists, BMX stunt riders, inline skaters, skateboarders and the super acrobatic slam-dunk team. This show really is for the whole family to enjoy and with a duration of little over half an hour it will capture your attention the entire time. We were lucky enough to have a sneak preview of this adrenaline junkie…
