    Sundays

Sundays when I was little consisted of getting up early watching cartoons in my pyjamas whilst eating Frosties. We only had four channels growing up so it was exciting watching the programmes I had been waiting for all week. Sunday was a lazy day, the day before a brand new week at school, I can’t remember ever having homework although we probably did. My sister and I would play (fight, more like) all morning, my Mum always cooked us a roast dinner or cottage pie to eat for lunch. Roast chicken was cooked in the oven, had really crispy skin and was used for sandwiches for lunches during the week,…

Let’s Talk Hair – Is Curly Hair Too 90s?

Curly hair – too 90s?? A bit of background to my ‘hair story’ if you will. I was born with blonde hair, it started to turn a little curly when I was about 1. From then on I’ve had ringlet curls and massive Mel B hair. I used to get bullied awfully for how my hair looked during secondary school it was really big and curly – very 90s. But the funniest thing was one of the girls who bullied me for my hair came in with an awful perm on the last day of school. I guess I had the last laugh after years of torment. Why do girls…

    Saturday Night Thoughts…

My thoughts on a chilly, rainy Saturday evening. I will do a separate post on our move and all the things that have happened as I think it may be beneficial to parents that are moving with young children. Anyway, back to tonight’s post. I currently have two children sharing the same bed with no cosy bedding just plain pillows and a duvet (my order doesn’t arrive until Monday). We have been let down by the ever so helpful Sky – why do we do this to ourselves, Sky are absolutely shocking. Perhaps it is just because of the ease with the channels etc I don’t know. So we have…

    Interiors: Autumn Lust List

We are nearing the end of the Summer months, with Autumn fast approaching. I know lots of you aren’t looking forward to the nights drawing in, a chill to the air and more unpredictable weather. But, for many (like me) I absolutely live and breathe Autumn. It is the most wonderful time of year, I look forward to it so much and cannot wait to embrace it all. As you know we are moving house soon and this means I get to style a brand new space with all things cosy. I think I’m more excited about dressing my new home than I am digging out my Autumn wardrobe. I…

    A Week In My Wardrobe

A week in my wardrobe is not very exciting I must admit. I am trying to step out of my comfort zone and I certainly have a few surprises in my Autumn wardrobe which I am excited to wear once the weather turns a little cooler. It is a little difficult dressing for this time of year, the days start out freezing, by afternoon I’m boiling and then I’m wrapped up in a cosy cardigan by evening. Anyway, these are a few outfits I’ve been wearing this week. Top: Joules / Jeans: River Island / Sandals: Salt Water Top: Boden / Jeans: River Island / Sandals: Salt Water Jumper: Next…

    What I Ate Today

I hope you all had a great weekend, mine was very busy and I ate far too much. But, that’s what weekends are about aren’t they – good coffee, pastries, takeaways and red wine. Here’s what I ate yesterday, I wasn’t really hungry I was rushing about lots due to Charlie starting school, packing the house up for our move and just generally trying to juggle life. I did manage to get a really good kettlebell class in when the children went to bed. Breakfast – 7.30am I have been loving the Arla SKYR yogurts for breakfast, they fill me up and don’tĀ feel too heavy. I usually have this first…
