    Keeping Christmas Simple

Keeping Christmas simple this year. I don’t know what happens to you when you have children but you just want the best of the best for them and this includes the perfect Christmas. We’ve had lots of wonderful Christmases, the children have had a big pile of presents, we’ve gone through all of the Christmas experiences by visiting various garden centres, sail with Santa, Peppa Pig World at Christmas, The Polar Express and lots of other lovely visits. However, come Christmas day with all of the gifts piled high and excitement through the roof, what really matters? Is it how many toys they have, how many decorations are throughout the…

Pre Christmas Pamper & Juice Detox

Pamper plans for Christmas – how silly does that sound? I don’t know about you but, I think Christmas is the perfect opportunity to glam up and treat yourself to a manicure. I realise that this might not seem a luxury to most, however for me this is a massive treat. I do paint my nails, not that they last more than a day with my hands constantly being in water, cleaning products and general wear/tear. But I can’t really justify £20+ every two weeks on getting my nails done as I would rather the money went on the children. So I only really visit the salon on special occasions such…

    Mum Guilt & Pushing Boundaries

I’ve woken up with the worst mum guilt today. Actually it started yesterday, I hate to say it but I was so glad when it was bedtime for my two. They are both at an age where Amelie has the attitude of a teenager and Charlie is in the “silly stage” of growing up. Both were so intense I thought my head was going to explode. I did have a mega headache yesterday which was amplified by their high pitch screams. They seem even more demanding just lately literally barking orders at me and getting so stroppy when I refuse to pander to their every whim. I know it is…

Winter Black Friday Fashion with JD Williams

Autumn is well under way we are nearing Winter and the festive season. Clothes get a little touch of sparkle, heels get higher and the knitwear gets thicker as we head into December. My favourite outfit combo for the cooler months is without a doubt a gorgeous jumper and boots. I like outfits that I can style with items I already own, things that I can transition into Spring/Summer and also pieces that are going to last year after year. I love shopping but with life being so crazy, limited time to get to a shop and also having two young children to drag around a shopping centre the thought…

    Raising Boys

Raising boys, oh gosh, where do I start?? From the beginning I guess. When we went for our 20 week scan with Charlie we wanted to find out what we were having as we had a super surprise last time. Unfortunately Charlie wasn’t playing ball, he crossed his legs and turned the other way despite the sonographers efforts he didn’t want to be identified. When I had my c-section I heard this tiny little cry from inside me – yes, Charlie got his shoulders stuck inside me so he cried whilst being removed from his cosy home. The surgeon announced we indeed had a boy I was utterly gobsmacked, our…

    What Mama Wore This Week

This past week we have had some horrendous weather in Somerset, from torrential rain to thunder and lightning. It’s been mild then freezing, I just can’t keep up with it. I’ve mostly been wearing my Joules raincoat and Chelsea boots as a staple, I thought it would share what else mama wore this week. Jumper: Primark / Necklace: Tiffany & Co. I’ve had this Primark jumper for years it has bobbled and is a tad out of shape but I love it and can’t throw it out. I paired it with my favourite River Island Molly jeans (black) and Chelsea boots. Sweater: Dorothy Perkins / Jeans: River Island I love a…

    2018 Advent Calendar Gift Guide

It’s the most exciting time of the year and I’m kicking off the Festive Season with a fabulous Advent Calendar Gift Guide! Advent calendars have come such a long way since I was a little girl in the 80s. Even though I absolutely loved the chocolate calendars, the one that I remember the most is the traditional cardboard door calendars. The ones with no chocolates inside just a really Christmassy picture, just thinking about it gives me goosebumps (in a good way). Here are my top picks for Advent Calendars this year. Winter Village Advent Calendar £9.00 I absolutely adore this advent calendar by Flamingo Paperie and think they have…

    October Favourites

Who else is feeling super festive? November is here and I cannot wait to get into the Christmas spirit – yes, I can finally talk about Christmas without offending someone. Actually, I was talking about Christmas in August so who cares. Since moving house in September I’ve not really had time to publish a Favourites post as things were understandably up in the air. But, I’ve put together a few of my most used/loved items to share with you today. GTECH PRO I have been lusting after a cordless vacuum cleaner for the longest time. I looked at the Dyson, the Shark and the Gtech. All had raving reviews and…

    I Had A Little Break

Hello!! Long time no speak, I hope you are all well and had a great half term. I’ve not put my laptop on in a while to blog, I just needed a little break to refresh and with it being half term I wanted to spend time with the kiddies without the distraction (pressure) of blogging. Also, to be honest I kind of lost my enthusiasm for blogging and social media. I got caught up in people’s perfect lives, thousands of followers and felt very inadequate compared to the massively successful bloggers who I follow. It is an awful place to put yourself in and, if you aren’t into social…
