Mum Pressure – I Want To Be Me!

Mum pressure, that is most certainly a thing. I feel I need to get this off my chest as it is consuming me slightly. So, social media gets a bad wrap and I don’t think it is any social media platform that this spirals from, it is Instagram and to be honest most insecurities stem from this app. Daily I hear of people unplugging and taking breaks from social media but in reality it is just Instagram that is causing the issues. What I Ate Today – Summer

Staying with the Summer vibe, here is what I ate this week. BREAKFAST Since my diagnosis with Coeliac Disease things have been trial and error for me and still are up in the air. For breakfast today I had 40g of Waitrose gluten free porridge oats with pumpkin seeds, mixed with a Biomel Probiotic and a chopped banana. Washed down with water and a cuppa coffee. LUNCH Today I strayed from eggs and instead had a small tin of tuna mixed with a tiny blob of extra light mayo, some cucumber sticks…

The kiddies getting excited for a weekend away, we all look forward to the cheesy entertainment, big swimming pool and soft play area. I never had a holiday as a family when I was little, it was just my mum, sister and me we enjoyed days out at the park and long summers at the beach, not to mention endless days out playing with our friends where we lived, that was our summer. It was everything a childhood should…

DIY Under The Stairs Children’s Playroom

When I was little I loved nothing more than playing in the cupboard under the stairs, I remember doing this at my own home but also at my Nan’s house. There’s something exciting about making a den and being shut off from the world around you to endure make believe adventures only you know about – think The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (I loved that book!). Being a mum myself now and having two young children who share the same need for building dens in the front room under the table or under our own stairs, I thought I would make their little dreams come true. Sounds dramatic…
