I’m Natalie, a stay-at-home mum to Amelie (6) and Charlie (4), winging it most of the time. We live in a bungalow in a little seaside town in Devon.
Pre children I spent most of my working career in Solicitors offices as a Legal Secretary, an Admin Assistant for the Fire Brigade, A PA to the Director of Legal Services for Devon & Cornwall Constabulary and lastly I worked for South Western Ambulance Service as an Admin Assistant for the Community First Responders. I have always loved being a Secretary/PA as I like to be organised, although now I have children I’m a scatter brain most of the time.
It was when I had Amelie I started watching youtube videos of parents and mummy vloggers, I got the bug for following their everyday lives and could really relate to the mums I watched. I also used to read BabyCentre Community blogs and Emma’s Diary (I think that’s what it was called), the more I ventured onto social media the more mums I found to follow and the more blogs I read.
I finally found the confidence to start my own blog in October 2016. Oddly it was a mum at Amelie’s school who gave me the nudge as it turned out she too was a parent blogger. My blog is mostly about motherhood ramblings, helpful tips, family photos, favourites, reviews, meal plans, fitness and recipes. I find it a great release to vent some of my frustrations I have during the day when I have only children to natter too, I like recording our memories for us to look back on and laugh about (N.B. that’s my beer, not Charlie’s).
I’ve been so lucky during my first year of blogging as I’ve had an opportunity to work with some amazing brands – something I never thought possible. I feel very grateful and am baffled that anyone would want to read my ramblings, but the support network in the blogging community is just brilliant. Everyone supports each other and we are all there to provide advice when needed, I’ve met some lovely bloggers along the way.
