Good morning guys, I hope you are all having a fab week so far. Today I thought I’d share my food favourites for May, all of the yummy goodies I’ve been loving.
Nakd Bars & Nibbles
If you’ve been following for a while you will know I’m obsessed with Nakd Bars and have been for years. Charlie absolutely loves them as well and I think they are a brilliant staple snack to have in the cupboard. There are loads of new flavours to try now but my personal faves are:- Carrot Cake, Lemon Drizzle, Blueberry Muffin, Peanut and Cocoa Delight. They are free from any nasties and taste amazing and they have just brought out a salted caramel edition – OMG!!!
Since becoming poorly and having an awful reaction to foods and drinks containing sulphur I’ve had to undertake some extensive research into what foods/drinks I can consume. I found a fantastic Red Wine in Sainsbury’s that contains zero added sulphur and (thankfully) agrees with me. It tastes so good I have to stock up on it whenever we do the grocery shop.
I am still on the hunt for a tablet form of probiotics as Biomel is quite expensive £1.20 per bottle which adds up each week. But until I find an outstandingly amazing one Biomel it is for now.
These are so dangerous!! I have to buy the multipacks to ration my portion sizes, a little bag is something like 62 (I think) calories. If I buy the big sharing bag the only person I’m sharing with is myself! These are vegan and made from chickpeas, they are scrumptious.
I’m trying to be very conscious about the amount of refined sugar we as a family consume. My children love honey so I thought I would give the Sweet Freedom Fruit Syrup a whirl. We all love it, you only need a little bit to sweeten porridge, tea, drizzle on pancakes and I even made a sweet chilli marinade for prawns. I am a little bit addicted to the Choc Pot and have been known to eat it out of the jar with a spoon as I can’t have Nutella any more due to being lactose intolerant.
Nothing fancy here but I am OBSESSED with blueberries and go through a pack a day. I especially love them straight out of the fridge, ice cold and crisp – yum!
Asda Cashew Shots
I love snacking it is one of my favourite hobbies. I like portion controlled snacks that I can grab, pop in my bag or keep in the car. I’ve been buying these cashew shots from Asda for a while now and I love them. You can add them to salads, breakfasts and stir fry.
Turkey Breast Steaks
Bit of a random one here however I’ve been eating so much turkey lately. I really enjoy these steaks (not really steaks, just a thicker cut of meat) grilled served with a big rainbow salad and houmous.
There are loads more foods that I’ve been scoffing my chops with so I may share them at a later date.
