The weekend has whizzed by – again! We had a lovely time of pottering around and not really doing a great deal, I love weekends like that. The children have been really into riding their bikes so we headed over to Dawlish Warren for a ride along the beach followed by face paints and a run around.
We love visiting Dawlish Warren as there is so much for the family to do, it feels like you are on holiday. They have a fantastic mini theme park, a gorgeous pub and huge amusement arcade. When we arrived there were a whole sea of motorbikes parked up which Charlie and Mr K enjoyed looking at.
My children get so excited about 2p machines, they raided their piggy bank before we left and had a blast winning their money back along with tickets.
Every time we go to Dawlish Warren during the weekend there is a lovely lady who does free face painting for the children at the Pavilion Amusements. She is there every Saturday and Sunday from 1pm – 5pm. Usually Charlie cries and doesn’t want his face painted but today he was first in the seat asking to be Spider Boy, Amelie was a sparkly butterfly – don’t they look cute! Tammy Beeks, who carries out the face painting is so talented, she is available for children’s parties and other events, go and check out her brilliant Facebook page.
After our busy adventure we headed home, showers were had and homework was completed. Mr K and I enjoyed a yummy Indian takeaway as a treat (we’ve been very good lately). I’m looking forward to another hectic week of food shops, giving blood, birthday parties and after school dinner dates, I hope you all have a great week.
