So today I officially am a mummy to a 3 year old, wth! The last 3 years have been a whirlwind of emotions, milestones, tantrums and fun, I can’t quite wrap my head around the fact we have well and truly left the newborn/baby stage, waved goodbye to the toddler days and are now entering the preschool years. I’m sad about all of this obviously as I’m not having any more children, on one hand I would love another baby I’m super broody as there seems to be babies everywhere at the minute but on the other hand I’m totally done with the sleepless nights, endless night feeds, engorged leaky boobs, awkward maternity wear, time consuming weaning, explosive nappies and the constant worry whether the baby has reflux etc. I’m not sure my body could cope with a third C-section as recovering from Charlie’s birth was no fun it took a long time and I was in serious pain.
Anyway, my boy is now a threenager and don’t we know it! We had a lovely weekend in the sun spent at Dartmoor Zoo, Build a Bear, Plymouth and a fab afternoon with cousins in the garden yesterday. We saw my mum this morning and had a little trip to the park we are off out to dinner tonight and will no doubt indulge in some naughty treats to celebrate.
I have one week left with my little chappy before he starts his 2 mornings a week at preschool and I’m going to soak every moment of it up.
