During the whole 5 years of being a mum I have struggled with one major issue – finding a sippy cup that does not leak! I have tried every sippy cup/bottle on the market I think. I know I am not alone in this never ending search as it is probably the most talked about subject between any group of mums. I have however, found the miracle cup that is completely leak-proof and really wanted to share this with you.
The Munchkin Miracle 360 Sippy Cup is a god send, although I don’t have babies or toddlers anymore, I have one nearing preschool age and one in reception. My children always always spill their drinks no matter what cup you give them, and, 9 times out of 10 find it upside down on the sofa or floor sopping wet and it drives me insane. I think any parent can relate to that, we are searching for a solution, you think you’ve found it as a cup has been recommended by someone and then it starts to leak.
I started using the Munchkin cups about a year ago (maybe more) and haven’t looked back. I bought mine from Tesco, they were about £4 I think. I started off with one for Charlie, it has super handles each side that are easy for little fingers to grasp. He took to it straight away, I have to admit though I was really confused as to where the water actually came out of as there is no spout. But it comes out of the edge, you can’t even see the opening and what is great is, it is accessible from any angle.
As you can see by my photo above you can get two different sized cups. These cups suit a good age range and I will continue to use them until no longer required. They don’t look really babyish so a 4 or 5 year old won’t feel like they have a baby cup. In fact, as soon as I bought Charlie one Amelie pestered me to get her one as she thought they were really cool. I have had lots of comments from other mums on the cups when we are out and about, asking how they work, where I got them from – they are really popular. I especially like the fact I can put one in any bag along with my phone and purse knowing that I won’t end up with a puddle at the bottom of my bag (that’s happened so many times with other cups).
The cups are super easy to clean and never collect food in, these are the only cups that I haven’t had to ditch after only a few uses. Other cups have turned mouldy or started to smell, not these cups though. They are BPA free and very user friendly, you just unpop the rubber coloured part on the lid, clean it and pop it back in.
As you can see in the above photo the lids are really clean and not discoloured, I feel safe in knowing the children aren’t drinking from a dirty cup, they are very hygienic. I would recommend these cups to all mums to try if you struggle with leaky bottles and cups.
I’m pleased to find out that Munchkin are bringing out a stainless steel version of this cup. I checked out the website and saw they have lots of new designs now, I particularly like the pink bird design one and the green car one, I hope the local supermarkets decide to sell them soon.
