We love visiting Paulos Circus and have been many times before, it is a traditional family fun show that just gets better each time you visit. I was extremely excited to be invited to the opening night of the all new #HereTodayTour at Darts Farm, Topsham. As we have seen the show before I was expecting the same or similar set up, however, as this is a brand new show for 2017 there were lots of new faces, an amazing magic act that left us all whispering “how did they do that?”, a plate-spinning clown, the ring of death, beautiful ladies twirling high up through the bigtop and the children’s favourite clown – Mr N.
Amelie and Charlie were mesmerised by the lights and atmosphere, they were clapping and dancing along all the way through the show. As I mentioned their favourite act was Mr N, he’s a cheeky and naughty clown who interacts so well with the audience, he even had Mr K and I giggling at his antics. Amelie’s best part was when he was doing a cheeky dance wiggling his bottom to the music, she was in hysterics!
This show really is for all the family of all ages, the duration is just over an hour and both of my children sat there entertained for the whole time. I think we were all disappointed when the show was over as we enjoyed ourselves so much. The music was fantastic as were all the lights, Charlie said to me “we are moving” as the starry lights were whirling around us. It was a show of pure magic, sparkle, adventure and laughter. There were times that my heart was in my mouth just watching the acrobats doing their thing, they are very talented and so strong, plus I loved the sparkly outfits they wore.
The final act was the Ring of Death and oh my word this was a truly outstanding performance, I have never seen anything like it before. I like that the show has been refreshed with daring new acts and routines as it adds that bit of anticipation whilst watching.
