The Christmas Tag – Blogmas Day 7

I thought I would mix things up a little bit today, I’ve got lots of posts planned but I feel like adding a bit of impromptu fun. I’ve seen this tag going around on Youtube so thought I would bring it to the blogging world (it’s probably already here, ha ha!) and give it a go myself. I am going to tag a few parent bloggers in this also.

The Christmas Tag Questions

What is your favourite Christmas film? Santa Claus the Movie is my all time favourite film, I love to watch this on Christmas Eve.

Have you ever had a white Christmas? I think I can only remember one white Christmas when I was little, I got a pair of Minnie Mouse rollerskates and went outside in the snow wearing them – not the best idea! The only white Christmas I remember living in Devon as an adult was about 6 years ago maybe, it had been snowing the week before Christmas and had kind of turned into thick ice underneath the snow, very dangerous.

Where do you usually spend your holiday? For the past 5 years we have spent Christmas at home where the children are free to play, relax and chill all day. I don’t like to drag the children to relatives to spend the whole day being bored. We like to stay in our cosy home playing with all the new toys and doing what we want.

What is your favourite Christmas song? I’ve got lots so I’m going to pick two. Firstly, it isn’t Christmas without a bit of Mariah Carey, All I Want for Christmas is You. I also love The Progues Fairy Tale of New York.

Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve? Yes. As a child we were always allowed to open one present from under the tree and this is a tradition I have carried over to my children.

Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer? Dasher, Prancer, Dancer, Rudolph, Donna, Vixen, Blitzen????? I have no idea and I’m not going to Google it and cheat, ha ha!

What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year? Visiting Santa with the children, getting the children all excited on Christmas Eve with new pjs, putting out a plate for Santa and getting pissed on Baileys, Babycham and Bucks Fizz (me, not the kiddies).

Is your Christmas tree real or fake? Fake, I had a real one a few years ago and hated every second of it.

What is your all time favourite holiday food/sweet treat? Pigs in blankets and After Eight mints.

Be honest, do you like giving or receiving gifts better? Giving, although I have to wait to Christmas shop as I’m crap at keeping gifts a secret and just want to give it to the person as soon as I’ve bought it.

What is the best Christmas present you have ever received? My Michael Kors bag and watch.

What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season? New York.

Are you a pro-present wrapper or do you fail miserably? I start off with good intentions and really take my time. However, by the 10th present I’ve had enough and don’t care  what the present looks like as the paper is only going to be ripped off and chucked away.

Most memorable holiday moment? Seeing Amelie and Charlie’s reaction to their first Christmas.

What made you realise the truth about Santa? What does this question mean??? He lives in the North Pole and pops down our chimney on Christmas Eve, right? I still believe….

What makes the holidays special for you? Mine is a very corny answer but true. I am thankful I get to spend it with a loving family and that I have two beautiful children and a lovely man in my life. Life would be sad and lonely without those three monkeys to share it with. I love making lots of new memories and am very thankful that my children have a family around them.

Right, now your turn! I tag the following yummy mummies.

Lisa Cowan

Maria Lincoln – Mummy to Logan

Nicola – Mummy to Dex

Hayley – Devon Mama
