Weekend Adventures – Decluttering, Flat Whites & Sunshine

Aren’t these summer weekends full of sunshine, fun and gin just brilliant!? We are really making the most of getting out and enjoying the weather as you never know how long it is going to last.

We had a mad busy week last week so were looking forward to a slow paced start to Saturday. We spent the morning decluttering the loft, listing items for sale online and being really ruthless getting rid of old toys. I do love a declutter and clean out it makes me feel somewhat organised in my mind. As the sun was shining we decided to spend the afternoon outside, we headed to Home Bargains to pick up some boring essentials, but with it being one of my favourite shops – I go in for one thing and come out £30 lighter every time – we came home with random bit and pieces.

We decided to go to The Puffing Billy, a gorgeous pub not too far from us. I had never been before and absolutely loved it, Mr K and I will be back for a date night very soon. I had a small ice cold glass of cider and relaxed in the heat whilst the children milled around chasing bumble bees and butterflies.

Another beautiful sunny day in Devon so we went to Exmouth beach for a walk around the Marina and to take some blog photos for a post I have coming up. It was such a lovely day pottering around at our leisure watching the children run riot, it was certainly time for a flat white and where better to relax with a coffee – Ocean. The children love it on the terrace as you can see most of Exmouth beach and the big wheel from the roof top.

We worked up quite an appetite on our walk so mooched into town to have a delicious lunch in Spoken. This is the only bar/restaurant that my children will scoff all of their food and ask for more. Spoken do a fab glass of prosecco as well so I was happy to sit and watch the world go by whilst sipping on my glass of fizz.

And just like that the weekend was over and book bags were packed for the last couple of days at school. We are now at the beginning of the summer holidays, lets see what the next 6 weeks bring.

I hope you all had a super weekend!
