Weekend Adventures – Driving Lesson & Mother’s Day

My weekend kick started on Friday night, I went out for dinner with a couple of my mummy friends. It was lovely to have a chit chat out of the playground, enjoy a glass (or two) or wine and munch on our dinner without having to share our food or entertain little people.

I know I moan about the weather a lot but, I am so ridiculously fed up with the miserable rain and dull days we have at the moment. They do nothing for my mood, I don’t want to leave the house and I’ve got frizzy hair all the time – grrrrr!

Anyway, it was pouring down from every angle possible on Saturday morning and we had a fun morning planned. Amelie had a driving lesson (future post to come), she was so excited and loved every minute of it. We got drenched so headed home for a naughty McDonald’s lunch, it was delicious. Mr K took Amelie out in the afternoon to get me a Mother’s Day present, Charlie stayed with me whilst I worked out and hoovered the house – what a glamorous Saturday. I had a snuggly night in on my own as Mr K went out for dinner, I was exhausted so I cosied up on the sofa catching up on my fave Youtube channels.

Mother’s Day, I was treated to breakfast in bed, cards, perfume and flowers. The children made me cards and gifts at school which were brilliant, I love homemade gifts they are so special.

We ummed and ahhhed as to what to do and where to go, we opted for a coffee at M&S cafe and a meal for 2 for the evening. It was a low key day chilling at home but just what we needed. I hope you all had a lovely Mother’s Day whatever the day meant for you.
