How-To: Homemade Iced Almond Milk Latte – Costa Coffee Style

Summer is here so bring on the iced coffee. In all honesty I’ve never liked cold ice coffee before but having tried it a couple of times this year I’m obsessed especially with the Costa Salted Caramel one – OMG!
But as with all good sweet things the calories and cost really add up, they are a treat for me but I would certainly indulge in one a day if I could get away with it. So I decided to make my own at home, less calories, no added sugar/syrup and a fraction of the cost.

Here’s how I made it…

I boiled the kettle, popped two teaspoons of my favourite coffee – Nescafe Azera, Americano – into a small pot and added the boiling water. After I mixed it up I left it to cool for around 30 minutes on the side, I then put the pot into the fridge for around 2 hours.

Once I was ready for my coffee I took a glass filled it with some ice, poured the cold brew over the ice and added some ice cold unsweetened almond milk, gave it a stir and I was good to go. It tasted amazing, not sweet just really refreshing. I think I will invest in some good quality organic free from syrups for the summer months though as I do like a flavoured coffee every now and then.
