Up until recently both of my children had been sleeping in separate bedrooms. Amelie was in her own room with a big girl bed and Charlie was sleeping in our bed, not ideal as he is a wriggly 2-year-old. We decided now would be a good time to transition them into bunkbeds and put them in the same room. So I set about planning, pinning and scouring the internet for children’s bedding and curtains as well as thick duvets and pillows.
Now the nights are drawing in and the temperature is dropping, my children love nothing more than being tucked up in a snuggly duvet and soft sheets. Children’s curtains along with bedding can really cosy them up. But, if I am honest, I’m still yet to find some curtains to go in their bedroom. However, I have found a great company called Yorkshire Linen who supply a vast range of kids curtains. There is something for all tastes on their website and the price is really affordable too. From themed character curtains to beautiful moonlight pink blackout curtains – a must for a child’s room, they stock something to suit any bedroom or nursery.
The bedding range is equally as good; Charlie has his eye on the Little Big Cloud: Dinosaur Duvet Cover Set.
The other brand I am fond of is George at Asda, they also have a wide selection of bedding, cushions and curtains.
In my opinion and what I have found over the years of being a mummy is, creating the perfect sleeping environment for children using blackout blinds and curtains is just as important as the bedding you use. Making your child’s bedroom as inviting and comfortable as your own will certainly assist with staying warm and cosy during the winter months and hopefully the little monkeys will stay in bed longer!
