Radio Silence: Life & Blogging

Hi, how are you all doing (possibly a silly question)? I just wanted to pop a quick post up just to say hello really and check in.

What a crazy few months it has been, life really has been full of ups and downs. Lockdown was mental, intense, full of emotion and now things are easing into a new normal we are entering a whole new anxious phase. Life as we know it has changed for the foreseeable, lots has happened in our household and we are all still getting used to our daily routine.

I have decided to take a long break from blogging over the summer months. Things were getting extremely overwhelming what with home schooling, lockdown and all the other billion things thrown into the mix. I was being pulled in all kinds of directions – and still am – something had to give. I love blogging and creating content but I feel it wasn’t my best work, so I am stepping back for a bit to concentrate on polishing things up behind the scenes in order to produce the best content possible and also to fall back in love with writing. It is impossible to put together anything with the kiddies hanging round my neck 24/7, I need to just be mum and not try to take on too much.

Charlie has returned to school 4 days a week, I am still home schooling Amelie as her year aren’t going to return properly. She has 1 week where she can attend for 3 hours each morning for 4 days soon so that will free me up for a teeny tiny amount of time before it is back to school to collect her, lots of school runs but she is absolutely desperate to return and see her friends. It will do her mental health the world of good.

I am currently sat on the sofa, the rugrats are having tablet time after a morning of home learning and bickering. I don’t know what is wrong with me this week but I have zero energy, I’m utterly exhausted and just do not feel well at all. There’s lots going on personally so that may have something to do with how I am feeling but I have to say this heat is not helping matters at all. Whilst I am loving the dry sunny days I cannot bear the heat, it is awful!

So for now, I won’t be putting any fresh posts up until September when hopefully the children have returned to school. But I am drafting posts all the time when things come to me and I love reposting old content too. Also, I would love to hear any blog post suggestions if you have anything you would like to see from me.

I really hope you are all well and coping as best you can at this weird time.

Stay safe everyone.
