September Favourites

We are nearing the end of September, I thought it was going to be a sunny and warm month but no, it has been rainy and grim. We have had a few weekends indoors due to the weather and these are the children’s September favourites.

As we are back into school routine we are reading bedtime stories again and loving it, Charlie especially looks forward to his story before bed. The books most read and loved are:-

The Inventing Tubes is a brilliant book, there is also a second book called The Sorry Sticks which Amelie loves reading.

The most played with toys this month apart from the usual Barbies has been L.O.L Surprise Dolls, Sylvanian Families and Hama Beads – these beads have kept the children entertained for hours (no lie) and I may have also made a few designs myself. I’m going to be stocking up on all three toys for Christmas.

Amelie is so obsessed with these dolls it is a good job Argos have an offer of 3 for 2 on all toys at the moment.

Both of my children love watching YouTube, we have the Kids Tube on the tablet and phones as we are conscious of what content they are watching. It started out as watching nursery rhymes or songs for kids, then it was Baby Alive and now it is Spiderman, Disney Princess makeovers and even more Tiffany Bliss Baby Alive.

The children have also found a love for Tom & Jerry cartoons and SpongeBob Square Pants. It is quite nice watching classic Tom & Jerry as I used to watch it when I was little.

And that is that for another month, lets hope October is full of crisp Autumn weather with bright sunshine and falling leaves… I can but dream.
