What Mama Wore – Autumn Edition

With only a couple of weeks left until proper Winter hits us I have been trying to go through my Autumn wardrobe and wear outfits I’ve had for a good few years. This coupled with some new bits and bobs, I thought I would share what I have been wearing lately.

OUTFITS

This jumper is from Primark and I have had it for around 4 or 5 years. I go through phases of loving it and putting it to the back of the pile – this Autumn I am loving it.

I have wanted a teddy coat since they all came into fashion last year, but I couldn’t find anything to fit me as I am quite petite (a short arse!). I would have preferred a camel coloured jacket but this one was given to me and is from the kids section in Matalan of all places. It is so warm and cosy I feel like a little lamb when wearing it.

I bought this sparkly jumper in the Next sale a couple of summers ago. I love a bit of sparkle for this time of year I feel you can really get away with being glitzy.

Who doesn’t love an extra oversized snuggly jumper to cosy up in at the weekend? This is a pretty standard outfit for me when I’m home, I rarely leave my jeans on I much prefer to be comfortable. I love this New Look jumper it is so soft and slouchy plus it was in the sale for £5 – bargain.

This is my ultimate favourite colour combination, and this Dorothy Perkins jumper is fab. So soft a bit oversized but classy.

One item of clothing that has completely overtaken my wardrobe this season is the jumper dress, I am literally obsessed. They are so easy to wear, you can dress them up/down and are super cosy. This is actually a longline jumper from Dorothy Perkins a few years back but as I am so short I can wear it as a dress. I love the colour for this time of year and team it with black biker boots.

How gorgeous is the colour of this jumper dress, I just love it. This one is from George at Asda, I think Asda do such great knits the quality is fab too.

This is a new purchase from F&F, it is a long ribbed knitted dress and is so flattering. I would normally steer clear of anything that is ankle length on me because of my height but it looks great with slouchy suede heeled boots and a long camel coat. I am going to wear this to the theatre next month, even my kiddies said how smart I looked, haha! Oh and please excuse the napkin in this photo, this is real mum life with my delightful son throwing things across the table whilst I was trying to drink my coffee in peace – no chance.

Another day, another jumper dress. This white/grey roll neck dress is one of my favourite buys this year. It looks really classy but the only thing is my foundation transfers onto the neck if I am not careful.

I did say I was a tad obsessed with jumper dresses, you are probably bored of seeing them now. This Hollister dress is a little different with the cold shoulders but is so warm.

There you have it for the minute, nothing particularly exciting I am such a jeans and jumper kind of girl with the exception of the jumper dresses of course. I can’t wait to get the party clothes out during December, I post outfit of the day pics on Instagram quite a lot so be sure to pop on over.

Have a fab weekend lovelies.
