What Mama Wore This Week

This past week we have had some horrendous weather in Somerset, from torrential rain to thunder and lightning. It’s been mild then freezing, I just can’t keep up with it. I’ve mostly been wearing my Joules raincoat and Chelsea boots as a staple, I thought it would share what else mama wore this week.

Jumper: Primark / Necklace: Tiffany & Co.

I’ve had this Primark jumper for years it has bobbled and is a tad out of shape but I love it and can’t throw it out. I paired it with my favourite River Island Molly jeans (black) and Chelsea boots.

Sweater: Dorothy Perkins / Jeans: River Island

I love a slogan top and bought so many t-shirts during the summer months. I thought I would carry on the trend with this mustard sweater from Dorothy Perkins, I prefer my sweaters a little oversized and snuggly.

Jumper: Next / Boots: Office

Next have some gorgeous knitwear this year with so many jumpers that have caught my eye. I bought this one back in February this year when they had a sale on, it was £12 (bargain) and have been itching to wear it.

Top: River Island /  Jeans: River Island / Boots: Joules

I have been trying to wear items that I’ve had for a couple of years and dug out this top. It is a navy sweater material at the front and a shirt (striped) material on the back. I teamed it with my jeans and Joules Chelsea boots, which, by the way are so comfy but a little roomy. I’m a teeny size 3 and have to wear thick socks with them.

Shirt: New Look / Scarf: New Look

It is still all about the leopard print this season and I love adding a touch of it to my outfits. I really do like the layered look and should invest in a few more dressy scarves.

Jumper: Peacocks / Denim Skirt: Topshop

I wanted to dress a little nicer at the weekend and forgot I had this camel roll neck. We were shopping with the children (fun!) so I paired it with some flat boots from Blowfish.

Jumper: New Look / Jacket: Dorothy Perkins / Jeans: River Island / Bag: Oasis

I felt a bit edgy in this outfit yesterday but I really liked it. I hardly ever wear my leather (faux) jacket as I think I look too dressy in it.

Jumper: TU / Jeans: River Island

Since colouring my hair I’ve had to rethink my colour pallet, but I absolutely love the colour of this cosy knit and will certainly be buying more from this range. It is not the first colour I usually gravitate towards, I’m more of a black/grey kind of girl however, I am loving a bit of colour and sparkle at the moment.

Top: Boden / Cap: Next

Now I’m not really one for a baseball cap at my age – I used to wear one every day during my teens/20s – but I’m fed up with doing my hair if I’m honest and sometimes I just want to be casual. I have a tiny peanut head though so really could do with a child’s size, this one is just plain black and does the job. I still love the rainbow Boden tops with a pair of jeans and Converse.

We are heading into party season soon and I’m so excited, I’ve got a thing for sparkles so stayed tuned for December’s outfit posts.
