I’ve Lost It… But, I’m Working On It

Life has been a little crappy for the last 4 weeks for many personal reasons and I’ve also been under the weather. I haven’t felt like working out or eating clean, I have probably only worked out about 6 times in the last month as I have just lost interest in it. I was working out consistently for 8 months never missing a week, but due to not feeling well and life taking over I’ve lost it and can’t be bothered.

My eating habits have been all over the place, I have eaten pretty much whatever I’ve fancied – bread, crisps, chocolate, take away – I have had a very balanced diet which is okay but I don’t feel healthy at all. I have come to the point now where I’m starting to feel better within myself and the urge for working out and eating well is slowly returning which I am so happy about.

I’ve got a plan – I am taking it week by week – I want to start eating well introducing lots of fruit, vegetables and salad into my diet, up my protein and also continue drinking lots of water. I’ve ordered a new recipe book The Hairy Dieters Eat For Life, as I think sometimes changing up recipes is good, I’ve followed The Body Coach Lean In 15 books for nearly 2 years now and I’m a bit bored with chicken this and chicken that. As we are entering the Autumn/Winter months I crave comfort food and hearty meals, I don’t really eat salad during those months but I do still want to be healthy during the run up to Christmas as we all know Christmas is all about the food and drink.

So this week’s meal plan is:-

Monday – Hairy Dieters Cottage Pie & Veg

Tuesday – Left Over Cottage Pie & Veg

Wednesday –  Chicken Fajita Sweet Potatoes

Thursday – Chicken Breast & Veg

Friday – Pork Chops, New Potatoes & Veg

Saturday – Sausages, Sweet Potato Mash & Veg

Sunday – Chicken Stir Fry

I’m going to return to my normal schedule of working out 3 times a week, I’ll be starting Kayla Itsines from the beginning as it is exactly 12 weeks until Christmas. I’ll also add in a couple of Kettle Bell workouts once I’m back into the flow of things. I love having a plan and drawing a line under the last month, it feels good to want to work out again and sort my diet out.

But as luck would have it I’m currently looking after a poorly girl who now has a tummy bug and threw up right in the middle of The Range this morning, she is clinging to me like a newborn – mummy duties always come first.

  1. Good luck with it. I have never been motivated to work out and have lost my motivation to eat healthily over the last few months. I’m still waiting for it to come back lol. Hopefully if I see a few more blogs from you about how you are getting on with it, it will spur me on x
