Meal Plan #4
I am super excited about planning our meals this week, I have been waiting months to get my paws on this new book from The Body Coach. I love the simple yet yummy recipes of the first book and upon flicking through this new one, they look even yummier. So here are our meals for this week. Monday – Chicken Breast with Herby Cream Sauce Tuesday – Chilli Gnocchi with Chicken Wednesday – Sweet Potato with Chipotle Butter Chicken Thursday – Prawn and Chilli Tagliatelle Friday – Loaded Potato Skins I may do a review of the first book and share my thoughts, I will also update you on how…

Sunday, Sunday… Christmas Countdown
We’ve reached Sunday again, the weekends seem to be whizzing by so quickly I want to enjoy every single second. I saw the Coca Cola advert last night so I am officially on Christmas countdown now. This weekend has been full of lazy starts, messy rooms, children’s toys everywhere and relaxing. All of which were definitely needed after a busy week of school runs, doctors appointments and another bug being brought home from school. Today will be spent cosying up with the children, watching a Christmas film, eating lots, meal planning, homework and probably breaking up a scrap or two! I hope you have all had a fab weekend so…

Can I Keep You?
‘Can I Keep You?’ I say this to my children all the time and now Charlie has started saying it to me which just melts my heart. Both children are growing up so quickly, time is running away with us I want to keep them little forever. Amelie will be 5 in January and Charlie is 2 and a half already – how did that happen!? I’m a sucker for flicking through photos on my phone when they have gone to bed and thinking back to when they were teeny tiny little babes. I thought I would share some of my photos as I love looking at other people’s snaps,…

Pregnancy #1
Lets rewind to the day I found out I was pregnant. Prior to this day I had been experiencing painful stabbing pains in my pelvic area and needing to wee tons. I had this feeling before so booked myself an appointment with the Doctor as I thought it was a UTI. At my appointment the Doctor took a sample of my urine to test, there were no signs of any infection so she threw my sample down the sink. She then asked if I could be pregnant, I thought what a stupid question to ask of course I’m not. But, thinking about it there was no reason I couldn’t be…

Things That Bug Me About Social Media
I’m not really sure what I want to get across in this post so it may well turn ranty and rambly. Over the past month or so I’ve been getting more and more peed off with people who request to be your friend on Facebook and then when you see them in the street they completely blank you. What’s that about and why go to the effort of scrolling through to find me, friend request me and stare at the ground when you see me!? It happened twice today, and I’m fed up of it. As I’m getting older (yes, 35 in January – eeeek) I’m feeling more inclined not…

5 Activities I Do With My 2 Year Old
Do you ever have those days where you’ve not got any real plans apart from housework, laundry and waiting in for a food shop? We have those days at least once a week, so I thought I would share 5 activities Charlie and me get up to on the home days as I call them. 1. Play-Doh An oldie but a goodie. Both of my children love playing with Play-Doh, they spend a fair amount of time smooshing (is that a word?) it, breaking little bits off, moulding it into shapes etc. Oh, and also dropping it on my lovely cream carpet! I used to let Amelie play with Play-Doh all the time…

Potty Training A 2 Year Old?
Charlie is 2 and a half and for the last year has been weeing and pooping on the potty when his nappy is off. As all the signs were there I thought this summer I would give potty training a bash. I bought big boy pants, a potty and a mini urinal, we were all set – it lasted 2 days before I gave up. I probably should have stuck with it but by the end of the 2 days Charlie was asking for his nappy back on, and I was more than happy to oblige. I came away feeling flustered and stressed I just could not be bothered with…

Fireworks in Exmouth
We had good intentions this bonfire night, for the past couple of years we had talked about getting fireworks and sparklers to let off in our garden. Unfortunately, we always missed the boat and arrived at the shops too late to buy any. So this year we were super organised and took a trip to The Range and Home Bargains. Our original plan was to take the children to Exmouth beach when it was dark on bonfire night, light our sparklers and watch other people’s displays from the sand. This plan had to be abandoned though as the excitement was all too much for my little Charlie and he fell asleep…

Meal Plan #3 Lean in 15
So, I’m back with another meal plan this week. Since our mini break last week I have been so good with my food choices and have not had one single bit of chocolate or one biscuit. I feel loads better for it. Don’t be fooled though, as soon as December 1st hits, I’ll be stuffing my face with mince pies, Celebrations and every other naughty treat on offer. But for now it is about healthy balanced choices. Monday: Kale, Chorizo & Steak Tuesday: Cheesy Chicken, Chorizo – I think this has to be my favourite Lean in 15 meal Wednesday: Sweet Chilli Turkey Burgers (from Asda) & Salad Thursday: Tuna/Mayo…

Chit Chat, Rants and Fireworks
This post has no relevance to anything in particular and will mainly consist of me rambling, ranting and just generally having a good moan. This week has been one of those weeks, nothing major has happened just little things have wound me up and made me feel super anxious. I’m hormonal as it is and just cannot shake this feeling off. It is like a heavy cloud over my head, I’m tired and grumpy for no reason whatsoever. Things that have peed me off this week have been, my silly neighbour parking his huge work van at the bottom of our cul-de-sac and blocking the footpath. He has done this…
