I can hear the faint jingling of festive cheer and Christmas sparkle. Time to start thinking about gifts for loved ones and all that Christmas food – yum yum!
This year I am bringing you an amazing array of gift ideas for the little people in your lives. I think buying gifts for a stocking and preparing it is probably the best part of Christmas for me. A great deal of thought goes into it and of course receiving a stocking is just so magical.
Here is my Children’s Christmas Stocking Fillers Gift Guide 2019.
A couple of months ago we were kindly gifted a Little Cooks Co recipe box to review. My children had such a fun time baking jam tarts, we made it a family afternoon and I have to say the tarts were demolished within hours – so yummy!
Little Cooks Co is a healthy baking recipe box subscription especially aimed at children. Monthly plans start at £8.33 in which you have the option to subscribe for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. The recipe boxes are delivered straight to your door and posted through the letterbox. The boxes are 100% eco friendly and house all the organic dry ingredients you will need for your recipe inside. I think this is a fantastic gift idea and something a little different, children will love to create delicious recipes and look forward to their boxes arriving each month.
Stationery will always have a place in my heart, I absolutely love the stuff – notepads, pencils, paperclips, sticky notes – you name it I have it. So you will understand how excited I was when the new Bic Gelocity Quick Dry Gel Pens turned up on my doorstep.
My kiddies were all over these beauties like a rash, they too love stationery especially brightly coloured luminous pens. We tore open the packaging and quickly tested these fab pens out. There are 13 vibrant colours to choose from each pen has a really easy gliding action making it great for children to write. The pens dry really quickly and don’t smudge which is so handy as there is nothing worse than creating a masterpiece and smudging it with the side of your hand. Prices start at just £6.49 for a pack of 3 (but there are also packs of 6 & 13 available) making it a very budget friendly stocking filler.
You may remember back at Easter I posted a review of the gorgeous Fuzzikins Rabbits, well I’m back with another amazing gift set – Fuzzikins Fuzzi Street Pizzeria. This utterly adorable set is just one of three packs from the range, there is also an Ice Cream Parlour, Post Office and a School Pop-Up Playset.
Amelie and Charlie had so much fun creating, playing and colouring. Within this particular set comes a cardboard Pizzeria to customise yourself, one cute Fuzzikins Mouse to decorate, a pizza oven & paddle, accessories and washable colouring pens. I love this gift for many reasons but how cool is it that you can create a design, rinse off the colour and start again. In my opinion Fuzzikins provide hours of entertainment, promotes fine motor skills and encourages children really using their creative imagination – what a fab gift idea!
As the name suggests – magnetic travel games for all the family. Take ‘N’ Play Anywhere games are a brilliant idea, how many times have you heard ‘I’m bored!!’ coming from the back of the car, or when you are out to eat – children need entertaining. My kiddies are all for tablet time but would much rather play snap or noughts and crosses, just the feeling of winning or having to use their minds to crack the game is much more satisfying.
These games are durable, easy to play and so handy to just keep in your bag. They provide hours of entertainment and everyone can play, not just the kiddies. There are 6 classic games to choose from:-
Noughts & Crosses / Tic-Tac-Toe
The square tins would make a really great stocking filler and are under £10 so very good value for money.
A Christmas gift guide would not be complete without the mention of one of our favourite brands – PLAYMOBIL. If you have a little one who loves ripping open blind bags and getting a surprise then look no further than the Playmobil series bags. A perfect size for stockings, mini hampers and also a great birthday gift idea. As always the figures are durable, colourful and provide so much play time the possibilities of imaginative play are endless. The figures can be added to the bigger Playmobil sets as well as mixed with other toys, I cannot rate these enough and at £1.99 you can’t go wrong.
I love giving practical gifts at Christmas time, something that can be done when the children need a bit of downtime. Arts and crafts are a big love in our house and have been ever since the kiddies were tiny, they love nothing more than getting creative.
The BLOPENS Rainbow art set is a fantastic piece of kit, children can create pictures with an amazing airbrush effect. In this particular set there are 6 mini BLOPENS, 6 paper sheets, 6 reusable stencils and a 3-in-1 BLOPENS sprayer. They are super easy to use and virtually mess free – my kind of craft session. The age range is from 4 years old so perfect for that preschooler or an older child who enjoys colouring.
Foodie Roos are an adorable new creation that the children will absolutely love this Christmas. They are cute little plush toys that look and smell like their favourite foods. They are housed in a container that once opened, becomes their room in which your little ones can customise themselves with the stickers that are included in the pot.
In this range there are 20 characters to collect, the plush toys themselves are super soft, bright and inviting. I love that you get a clue through the little peek hole to see which plush is inside. Foodie Roos are a perfect size for putting in to the Christmas stocking and are so reasonably priced at just £7.99.
You may recall I included a pair of Love Leggings in a Mother’s Day Gift Guide earlier this year. They fast became my go-to leggings for comfort and practicality, I still wear them now. Well, not to feel left out Amelie now has a pair.
These absolutely beautiful wine coloured leggings are perfect for the festive season. They are soft to touch, comfortable, fit so well and look gorgeous teamed with a cute tunic, Christmas jumper or dress for that extra warmth. The quality is outstanding, I particularly love that the leggings are fleeced lined and thick making them snuggly and not irritating. The range offers two lengths – cropped and a full leg – there are lots of lovely colours to choose from and sizes start from age 1-2 years right up to 12-13 years old. Amelie is going to get so much wear out of these Love Leggings and I think if you have a little fashionista they would make a perfect stocking filler gift.
This gift is perhaps a little too big to fit into a traditional stocking, however it is such a fantastic idea I just had to include it in this guide. If you have children who love to paint, draw and lose themselves in a world of creativity then this present is just the ticket. Check out my full review to really understand how amazing the Little Brian Art Station is, my children absolutely love it and have had hours of fun with it.
I really hope you enjoyed this post just as much as I did putting it together, there are some fab gift ideas to suit everyone. Stockings are all about useful, fun and budget friendly presents – you really do not have to go overboard. Sometimes it is the little thoughtful gifts that mean the most, so I hope I have given you some inspiration for that special stocking this Christmas.
Of course all of the above gifts can be given for any occasion that is why I love versatile presents that aren’t specifically festive themed. With Black Friday and other sales on at the minute I am sure you will pick up a great bargain!
** This Christmas gift guide is in collaboration with the brands mentioned above. Products have been gifted in exchange for an honest review, as always the words above are my own opinion **
