    My Second C-Section As this was an elective section I had to go into hospital the day before for pre-ops. This included weighing me, checking meĀ and the baby over, a pre-op drink that I had to drink the morning of my section and a time was given for the operation.     My First C-Section and Recovery

    When I was pregnant the first time a c-section wasn’t even a thought for me, I had planned on a natural birth and thought that is how it would pan out. Unfortunately I did end up with a c-section, it was the only way to get my baby out and that is what had to happen, although I have to admit after being in pain for days I was so relieved I didn’t have to push a baby out.     Amelie’s Birth Story

    It’s been 84 years… (Titanic reference, sorry but that still makes me giggle), just kidding although that’s what it felt like. It was Saturday 21st January 2012, I was overdue by 8 days, I woke up around 7.30am with back ache and tummy cramps. Being pregnant for the first time I had read all the books out there, attended antenatal classes and spoken to friends with children but still didn’t have a clue if I was in labour or not.
