    Compliments From My Kids…

My children are lovely but some of the things they say to me are unintentionally horrible. Instead of getting upset I laugh hysterically as the words coming out of their tiny mouths are brilliant.  These are just a few of the lovely compliments my kiddies have said to me. When I’m going for a wee in the pub toilet… Amelie: “Mummy, your knickers look like old lady skin”   When I’m wearing my new Converse for the first time and looking in the mirror… Me: “Oh I’m dressed like a teenager today, I look about 15” Amelie: “No, you don’t look 15, you look 55”   Bikini shopping with Charlie… Charlie:…

    Happy 3rd Birthday Charlie

So today I officially am a mummy to a 3 year old, wth! The last 3 years have been a whirlwind of emotions, milestones, tantrums and fun, I can’t quite wrap my head around the fact we have well and truly left the newborn/baby stage, waved goodbye to the toddler days and are now entering the preschool years. I’m sad about all of this obviously as I’m not having any more children, on one hand I would love another baby I’m super broody as there seems to be babies everywhere at the minute but on the other hand I’m totally done with the sleepless nights, endless night feeds, engorged leaky…

Cute and Funny Ramblings of a 2 Year Old

Both of my children are complete chatterboxes they never stop. They both said their first word at 6 months old and have continued to talk ever since. Our lives are filled with crazy stories, funny (not funny) jokes, tuneful songs and lots of laughter. Charlie has been making me giggle lots just lately, here are a few cute but funny things he has been saying. Watching football on the TV Daddy: You can be a footballer when you grow up Charlie. Charlie: But I won’t be able to fit in the TV, I’m too big.   After having a bath Mummy: Oh you smell all clean and fresh. Charlie: You smell…

    Party Bags & Supplies Review

Having recently just planned and organised my first ever 5th birthday party I can honestly say I wish I got a party pack with everything all organised for me. I will remember this in future should I hold any more parties for Amelie and Charlie. It is stressful even if you don’t intend on it being a big bash, there is so much to think about that’s why I really like the idea of someone taking the pressure off me. Party Bags & Supplies cater for every single taste going. They have the latest character party theme, decorations, pre filled party bags and so much more. I was kindly sent a…

    Naff Off Winter

I have always loved the colder months, you get to wrap up in snuggly scarves, big chunky knit jumpers and trendy boots. However, I have come to realise that in fact I am not really a fan of winter after Christmas. All year I look forward to September when the children go back to school that signifies, for me, the start of the build up to Christmas. I love Autumn the best, getting excited for Halloween/bonfire night, the leaves turning that gorgeous burnt orange/red colour and the colder crisper days/nights. I love having a cosy home, decked out with scented candles, soft lighting and fluffy blankets, plus the heating turned…

    Birthday Week!

What an eventful week we had last week – birthday week! Our Sunday kicked off with a huge birthday party for Amelie, she’s never had a proper party before so we did it in style. We hired a hall, booked a disco, booked our local fish & chip shop to cater for us and I went to town on glo sticks, balloons, cakes and party cones. Amelie had a fantastic time with all her friends, I think we had around 26 children in total. It was so much fun but I think next year we will spend the money on a weekend away maybe, something more low key and less hectic!…
