Weekend Adventures – Sidmouth, Starbucks & Dawlish Warren
We had a full on weekend out and about to keep the children entertained as they have been bickering constantly over the last couple of weeks. We are out of routine, having late nights, early starts and just generally being busy so everyone is tired and ratty. Saturday It took forever to get organised and out of the house on Saturday for some reason everyone was on a go slow. The last time we ventured to Sidmouth was exactly a year a go, we went to the Anchor Inn for some lunch and mooched around the town ending up at Jacobs Ladder. I’ve never walked through the gardens before but…

Weekend Adventures – Decluttering, Flat Whites & Sunshine
Aren’t these summer weekends full of sunshine, fun and gin just brilliant!? We are really making the most of getting out and enjoying the weather as you never know how long it is going to last. Saturday We had a mad busy week last week so were looking forward to a slow paced start to Saturday. We spent the morning decluttering the loft, listing items for sale online and being really ruthless getting rid of old toys. I do love a declutter and clean out it makes me feel somewhat organised in my mind. As the sun was shining we decided to spend the afternoon outside, we headed to Home…

Summer Daze
Summer has arrived with a bang hasn’t it!? I can’t believe how lucky we have been to bask in the boiling hot sunshine over the last few days. We have made the most of the weather, dining outside, playing in paddling pools, going on walks and out for brunch, it certainly puts us in a good mood. Trouble is, my wardrobe is not equipped for tropical climates so I’m kind of rotating dresses and digging out “holiday” clothes, you know the type of outfit you’d wear abroad where no-one knows you – I’m embracing it though. I thought I’d share some photos of our summer adventures so far, this post…

Glamping at Andrewshayes Holiday Park, Devon
I have never been camping, I’m not really an outdoorsy type of person – I’m too high maintenance for that (not even sorry). Glamping however is a fairly new craze that I had heard about a year or so ago and consists of sleeping in a wooden glamping pod which has electricity and beds. Now this sounded right up my street – a proper bed and somewhere to plug my hair straighteners in. We were very kindly invited to stay at Andrewshayes Holiday Park situated near Dalwood, Axminster. Andrewshayes is a beautiful resort catering for campers of all sorts from traditional tents to static caravans to glamping pods. When we…

May Bank Holiday Weekend Adventures
Hello, how are we all? I really hope you had a fantastic bank holiday weekend, wasn’t the weather absolutely amazing! I cannot believe how lucky we were to have 3 full days of scorching hot sunshine, what a difference it makes to the weekend and to everyone’s mood. We made the most of our time together, here is a quick round-up of our adventures… Saturday We had a slow start to Saturday with no set plans. We did end up viewing a house which was gorgeous but I’m not sure it was quite what we are looking for. The afternoon really hotted up so we went out for a very…

Chin, Chin – Gin Festival 2018, Torquay
Gin for the win, they say! What better way to find out what your tipple is than to attend a festival especially for gin lovers. I’ve only ever been to a chilli festival in my time so I was excited to have been invited to The Gin Festival 2018 held in Torquay, Devon. This is the second gin festival that has been held in The Assembly Hall in Torquay, organisers were expecting a whopping 1,500 gin fans across 3 separate sessions. Upon arriving we were greeted by a lovely team who informed us of what was what, I took Mr K with me as I knew he would enjoy the…

Weekend Adventures – Torquay, Coffee & New Shoes
So it was the first weekend of February, we made it through the January blues. Both of my two are so ready for half term which is at the end of the week, I’m certainly ready for slow paced mornings and no school runs – yippee! Saturday We were up super early on Saturday which is not ideal but we had a very important event that morning. As we were all up and dressed Mr K suggested we head to Torquay for the afternoon as we had not been since the summer. The forecast predicted rain, however the sun shone all day for us, it was glorious. We headed to…

Tin of Gin – Review
I’m going to start by being completely honest with you, I have tried gin about twice in my life. Once when I was in the pub drinking (that did not end well), the other time was at Christmas, I had a mini bottle and drank it neat – yuk! I was starting to think I wasn’t cut out for this uber cool drink. Over the past few years gin has become increasingly popular and trendy, I see endless photos on Instagram of big posh glasses topped with ice and a slice and I kind of want to get in on that – photo coming soon, I’m sure! Last weekend was…
