    What I Ate Today

    July 20, 2018 /

What I ate today (Thursday) wasn’t really that exciting, I don’t know about you but when it is roasting outside my eating habits are all over the shop. One minute I’m not hungry and the next I’m ravenous, anyway here is today’s eats. Breakfast – 6.30am I had one of my favourite combos this morning, a nakd bar and a Granny Smith apple. I’ve started putting my apples in the fridge, they last so much longer and are super tasty. Lunch – 12pm You are going to look at this and think how disgusting I am. I promise these foods put together taste really nice. I mix my tin of tuna with…

    What I’ve Been Eating, Fitness/Diet Update – January 2018

    January 8, 2018 /

It is the New Year and hopefully the Christmas bloat has vanished for you, I didn’t over eat too much during December but I certainly ate what I fancied. I have been using My Fitness Pal for about 3 months now so generally track all of my meals and snacks each day. I find it really works for me and I like to look back to see what I’ve eaten, I’m very good 6 days a week and have a “cheat” day at the weekend. So far this has worked for me and I’ve lost 11lbs since October, the weight has come off slowly and I haven’t deprived myself. During…

I’ve Lost It… But, I’m Working On It

    October 8, 2017 /

Life has been a little crappy for the last 4 weeks for many personal reasons and I’ve also been under the weather. I haven’t felt like working out or eating clean, I have probably only worked out about 6 times in the last month as I have just lost interest in it. I was working out consistently for 8 months never missing a week, but due to not feeling well and life taking over I’ve lost it and can’t be bothered. My eating habits have been all over the place, I have eaten pretty much whatever I’ve fancied – bread, crisps, chocolate, take away – I have had a very…

Shifting The Holiday Weight & What I Ate

    August 14, 2017 /

First off I want to start by saying I’m not an expert and don’t pretend to be, I’m sharing my experience and what has worked for me. So I went to Majorca in May, it was an all inclusive holiday. Everyone puts on holiday weight and I certainly wasn’t restricting my diet whilst away, after all it was a holiday and I wanted to enjoy myself – and I did. I did try to make healthy choices throughout my time away but as the week went on I was sneaking in a dessert and extra snacks that I wouldn’t normally have. By the second week of my holiday I was…

    The Diet Plate®

    June 28, 2017 /

Summer is well and truly here, people are getting ready for holidays abroad or stay-cations in the UK and others have returned from a holiday feeling sluggish and bloated after indulging in the all inclusive food at the hotel… sound about right? Yup, the latter is most definitely me, I always feel like I need to eat a huge salad when I return from a holiday abroad, my body craves fresh, healthy food. I’m always starting a “diet” on a Monday – but never actually sticking to it. When I say diet, I actually mean eating clean, cutting out treats during the week, no takeaways and eating as healthy as I…

    Feeling A Tad Lost

    March 28, 2017 /

As the title suggests, I’m feeling a bit lost at the moment with regards to my diet and exercise plan. Truth is I don’t really have a plan and I don’t like not knowing what I’m doing. I go through phases of being really focussed where I will plan my meals, have no junk food or treats in the house, I will up my water intake and work out about 4 times a week. This will continue for around 2 or 3 weeks then I will let the healthy eating slip at the weekend, I will have a glass or two of wine and a takeaway to celebrate it is the…

Learning To Accept Things – A Personal Post

    February 19, 2017 /

This is a personal post about trying to accept things the way they are and working on changing the things in my life that I’m not happy with. I’m 5ft dead on the nose, my height doesn’t bother me I’m quite pleased I’m a shortie with little feet. My height bothers other people though, when I say people I mean women. Throughout my adult life I have come across and still do, women who like to belittle me about my height “aren’t you tiny!?” “you look really short today” “you make me feel like a giant”… I could go on all day with the lovely comments I’ve received. What I…
