What I Ate Today & Meal Plan
What I ate today. I popped into M&S at the weekend and picked up a couple of my favourite foods. I’ve included at the end of this post my meals for the week if you fancy a nosy. Breakfast I love this little pot of goodness, it feels like a treat but is super healthy. It didn’t fill me up as much as my usual yoghurt and granola but it was tasty all the same. Snacks I went to the gym straight from the school run this morning. I did 50 minutes of weights targeting my legs and arms/shoulders. I was a bit peckish so had a banana to keep…

Top Tips – How I Started Working Out At Home
Way back in the day of clubbing, binge eating crap and doing minimal exercise health and fitness was not on my radar. Over the years my mindset has evolved and I am now in a really good place with consistently working out and eating the right foods for my body. So how did I start working out at home? The first real workout I undertook was Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I’d dabbled with Hannah Waterman, Clair Nazir and other pointless celebrity “workout” dvds, going to body balance and a few spin classes. But it was Jillian Michaels that really kick started my passion for at home workouts. I had…

Monthly Favourites – May 2018
Another month has been and gone, May was fab weather wise wasn’t it? I have lots of favourites from last month to share with you so let’s get cracking. Saltwater Rose Gold Slides I have admired Saltwater sandals for years, although they look fab on others I really didn’t think I would own a pair. Not being horrible but, the traditional style look a bit granny-ish for me and I would not be brave enough to pull a pair off. Having said that, I was utterly delighted to see Hannah Michalak wearing a pair of these rose gold slides they looked so gorgeous I just had to brave it and…

I’ve Lost It… But, I’m Working On It
Life has been a little crappy for the last 4 weeks for many personal reasons and I’ve also been under the weather. I haven’t felt like working out or eating clean, I have probably only worked out about 6 times in the last month as I have just lost interest in it. I was working out consistently for 8 months never missing a week, but due to not feeling well and life taking over I’ve lost it and can’t be bothered. My eating habits have been all over the place, I have eaten pretty much whatever I’ve fancied – bread, crisps, chocolate, take away – I have had a very…

Shifting The Holiday Weight & What I Ate
First off I want to start by saying I’m not an expert and don’t pretend to be, I’m sharing my experience and what has worked for me. So I went to Majorca in May, it was an all inclusive holiday. Everyone puts on holiday weight and I certainly wasn’t restricting my diet whilst away, after all it was a holiday and I wanted to enjoy myself – and I did. I did try to make healthy choices throughout my time away but as the week went on I was sneaking in a dessert and extra snacks that I wouldn’t normally have. By the second week of my holiday I was…

The Diet Plate® Online Plan
I have always been the type of person to keep a food journal and have done this for around 13 years on and off. I have tons of notebooks hanging around the house with days and days worth of meals and exercise records in them, I love referring back to them. So when the opportunity to join the Diet Plate® online plan arose I jumped at the chance. The Diet Plate® online plan is a personal dietary, weight management and exercise record tailored to your specific requirements. It is really easy to sign up to and takes you through a series of questions about your weight, height etc and your target weight/goals. The…

Post Holiday Meals & Workouts
Being on an all inclusive holiday my eating habits were so messed up, I had a cooked breakfast (sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs & toast) every morning, no snacks, lunch was a weird combination of cooked foods and salad along with a sweet treat and dinner was a mish mash followed by another sweet temptation. On top of the food I consumed lots of fizzy drinks and wine – not much but certainly more than what I normally drink. Safe to say I feel sluggish, so I’m working on getting back on track as I want to feel healthy again. But, as I’ve not got to prance around in a bikini…

Kayla Itsines 12 Week Bikini Body Guide – My Thoughts
Being a stay at home mum of 2 young children my time is dedicated to them. My day revolves around school runs, errands, housework and playgroups. Ever since Amelie was born I had started working out seriously at home. In the last five years I have started at the bottom and worked my fitness levels up to where I am today – Kayla Itsines 12 Week Bikini Body Guide (BBG). I know many mums go to the gym or to classes but for me that doesn’t work or suit my routine. I used to go to a gym and also to a few classes, my favourite were body balance and…
