Sealife Weymouth #Ascarium
Sealife Weymouth has been on our “To Visit” list for ages. We’ve holidayed in Dorset each October half term ever since Amelie was a toddler. There’s just something about the Dorset coastline that really appeals and I just love the area during Autumn. It just so happened that we were in Weymouth on Halloween this year. Sealife Weymouth very kindly invited us to experience a spooky #Ascarium Halloween trail. We have been to a few Aquariums in our time, the biggest being Plymouth. But Sealife Weymouth is so much more than just tanks of fishes. It has everything to keep the children entertained no matter what the unpredictable weather is…

Luxury Glamping At Loose Reins, Dorset
My ideal getaway is escaping the hustle and bustle of daily life, switching off and spending time together as a family. I’m talking real quality family time not peering over your phone at the kiddies whilst they play. Earlier this year we were extremely fortunate to have been invited to the Spirit Riding Free Playmobil press launch. This was being held at Loose Reins in Dorset. Set in the stunning Dorset countryside, Loose Reins is authentic ranch living at its best. Upon arriving you are met with a breathtaking views of greenery, horses, chickens, goats and sheep. Nestled within the trees are luxury cabins and lodges. When we arrived we…

Nextbase 212 Lite Dash Cam – Our Experience
When I think of Dash Cams I imagine a high speed police chase recording all the drama. My life isn’t as exciting as the things you see on television though but I really liked the idea of using a Dash Cam for our everyday journeys and travelling. We were very kindly contacted by the Nextbase Team and sent the brilliant NEXTBASE 212 Lite DASH CAM to try out. This nifty little camera is full HD providing extremely high quality footage, I couldn’t wait for it to arrive. All of the Nextbase Dash Cams are in a very affordable range, starting at just £49.99. The 212 Lite Dash Cam has a…

Targus Newport 15″ Laptop Backpack
The search is over, I have found THE perfect backpack. The Targus Newport Navy Backpack is the ultimate travel, laptop and every day bag that will suit any lifestyle. Whether you are a busy working mother, a student or a stay-at-home mum who craves a little luxury when out and about. Since becoming a mum I thought my days of pretty handbags and stylish backpacks were over, I was doomed to a life of chunky unattractive Changing Bags to accommodate nappies, wipes, snack, clothes and all the other parent paraphernalia that goes along with having children. Yes, I did buy a changing bag when the children were little but I…

Weekend Adventures – Exmouth Beach & Exeter Quay
What a cracking weekend it has been here in Devon, the sun has been shining on us and I’m happy to report that Amelie is well on the road to recovering from her illness last week. Saturday As it was such a nice day yesterday we took an impromptu trip to Exmouth beach, which is about a 5 minute drive from our house. The children were very excited at the thought of a ride on the merry-go-round which has been on Exmouth seafront for decades I can remember my mum taking my sister and me on it when we were little. After that the kiddies had an ice cream with…

Hand Luggage Snacks for Children
I’ve not had to pack a hand luggage bag in 4 years so had to check the restrictions with the airline we are flying with. Anyone with children will know they eat ALL THE TIME! Even when they aren’t particularly hungry they seem to snack day and night, my children are little monkeys when it comes to snacking, so I’m being prepared for every situation possible. The snacks I’ve packed are not the healthiest so please don’t judge me, I’m preparing for negotiation, bribery and just five minutes peace. When they eat, they are occupied which is handy when flying. Here we have some dried snacks for Mr K and myself…

Safety Abroad – Kid-ID Wristbands
As we all know I’m an over anxious, worry wart of a mother however I am not alone in this and that brings me some comfort that I’m not a crazy person. I’ve talked about safety when out and about with children in terms of ID wristbands before and as we are going away soon I thought I would order some new ones. I wanted to try out waterproof bands that the children could wear all day whilst we are at the hotel, at the beach, waterpark etc. A company called Kid-ID followed me on Twitter, I had a look at their page and also their website and was really impressed with their…

Days Out In Devon – World Of Country Life, Exmouth
World of Country Life is an all round family fun day out for all ages and stages. I live about a 5 minute drive from the attraction which is situated right next door to a Haven – Devon Cliffs – so is perfect for holiday makers who are visiting Exmouth. Both of my children love going to World of Country Life and we have bought an annual pass which runs out in July, I will certainly be renewing it as it is a perfect place to visit if the children need to burn off some energy. There are 3 soft play areas to choose from, one for under 12s, one…

Kiddies Travel Pack
We are travelling to Cornwall for an exciting weekend as a family. Where we will be staying in a caravan in Newquay. I’m hoping for some good weather as it is no fun to be stuck in the caravan with two hyper children and no wine! Just lately every time we go on any trips in the car for more than 30 minutes the children get really restless and bored. I thought I would be prepared this time and pack them a travel bag of bits and bobs to keep them entertained. They both love a goodie bag full of crafts, books, nibbles, crayons and other surprises. I took a…
