    Christmas Eve Basket 2017

    December 15, 2017 /

From an early age my mum would buy my sister and myself new pyjamas to wear on Christmas Eve. We were also allowed to open one present from under the tree, we never had a Christmas Eve Basket as that wasn’t a “thing” back in the 80s. However, over the years since becoming a parent I’ve heard more and more about these festive pre Christmas treats for children and I love it. For the past few years I’ve left out an array of goodies to be enjoyed on Christmas Eve and the children always have new jammies, this year I’ve certainly gone all out with the treats. The Christmas Eve…

    Happy Halloween!!

    October 31, 2017 /

It is finally here, one of my favourite times of year… Halloween! The house is decorated, the treat bowl is full, pumpkins are glowing and there is an air about our neighbourhood – so exciting! But, my little pumpkins may not be going out trick or treating as Amelie has a nasty virus along with a high temperature. So she was very excited to find out we had been sent a fab bag of Sweet Champions – Halloween edition made by Tangerine Confectionary. If you were an 80s or 90s child you will remember these sweets well, they have so many golden oldies on their website. My favourites are Wham Bars,…

    Kids Halloween Basket

    October 23, 2017 /

I realise this is a bit Halloween overkill but we love it in our house and I never had a Halloween basket when I was little. Everywhere you look now there are suggestions for what to put in a Halloween basket and my feed on Instagram is full of them. I always put together a basket for the children to enjoy over the October half term, they love rummaging through the goodies and getting excited for all the bits and bobs I’ve selected for them. This is what is in this years basket, I’ve reduced the amount this time as we are off on our holibobs soon and I wanted…

    What Mummy Eats

    April 13, 2017 /

So here is another ‘What Mummy Eats’, I received some really positive feedback from the last one which was great. Breakfast I had an almond croissant and strawberries for brekkie on this particular day, I wouldn’t normally have this but enjoyed it as a treat. I also had a coffee and some water. Almond croissants are my fave, I prefer them over the chocolate ones – yummy. Snack We had a playdate after breakfast and when we got home we all had a chocolate crispy cake that the children had made the day before, they went a tad overkill with the edible glitter. I had another coffee, ah that sounds…
