    Gymxiety – It’s a Thing!!

As the title suggests, Gymxiety – anxiety about going to the gym. I know to some it sounds utterly ridiculous to be nervous/scared or feel like you are going to have a panic attack about walking into a gym to work out, after all what is there to feel nervous about? But for lots of people, myself included it is a massive challenge to step into the unknown territory of a gym. I suffer with all kinds of anxiety – social, health, everyday life – so to step completely out of my comfort zone and join a gym was a huge deal for me and I was extremely proud of…

Top Tips – How I Started Working Out At Home

Way back in the day of clubbing, binge eating crap and doing minimal exercise health and fitness was not on my radar. Over the years my mindset has evolved and I am now in a really good place with consistently working out and eating the right foods for my body. So how did I start working out at home? The first real workout I undertook was Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I’d dabbled with Hannah Waterman, Clair Nazir and other pointless celebrity “workout” dvds, going to body balance and a few spin classes. But it was Jillian Michaels that really kick started my passion for at home workouts. I had…

    Meals & Workouts

It is officially the countdown until my holiday I have 6 weeks to stay healthy and prepare for unlimited meals, ice creams, red wine and cocktails. I’m certainly going to relax and make the most of being on an all inclusive holiday, I will be filling my face and giving the workouts a miss for nearly 2 weeks – yipppeeee! In the meantime, here are my meals for the week and also the workouts I will be undertaking. As it is the Easter holidays I can fit more workouts in because we don’t have to rush out anywhere which is great as I like to work out first…

    Meal Plan & Workouts

I’m back with another meal plan and workout schedule, I’ve been so good for the last 2¬†weeks keeping up with working out and eating that little bit healthier. I’m off on my hols in just 2 months – sounds a long time but it will fly by – so need to start prepping for that. I’m enjoying a treat free week and then eating (within reason) what I want at the weekend, for me this is working and I’m already noticing a difference. I am missing red wine though but whenever I drink it even if I have just 2 glasses I get an awful hangover the next day…

Learning To Accept Things – A Personal Post

This is a personal post about trying to accept things the way they are and working on changing the things in my life that I’m not happy with. I’m 5ft dead on the nose, my height doesn’t bother me I’m quite pleased I’m a shortie with little feet. My height bothers other people though, when I say people I mean women. Throughout my adult life I have come across and still do, women who like to belittle me about my height “aren’t you tiny!?” “you look really short today” “you make me feel like a giant”… I could go on all day with the lovely comments I’ve received. What I…

    Eats and Exercise

This week’s eats and exercise is here, I have strayed from the Lean in 15 books as of late and feel completely lost without them so, I’m using them this week. I thought I would share what I’m having for breakfast and lunch also this week. I’m trying to drink a litre of water a day, this doesn’t sound a lot but for me it is as I’m so rubbish at drinking water. Exercise wise, I bought a new kettlebell and have been loving it. I feel super achy the day after a workout and really enjoy working different areas with heavier weights. MEAL PLAN MONDAY Breakfast: Weetabix Lunch:…

Kayla Itsines 12 Week Bikini Body Guide – My Thoughts

Being a stay at home mum of 2 young children my time is dedicated to them. My day revolves around school runs, errands, housework and playgroups. Ever since Amelie was born I had started working out seriously at home. In the last five years I have started at the bottom and worked my fitness levels up to where I am today – Kayla Itsines 12 Week Bikini Body Guide (BBG). I know many mums go to the gym or to classes but for me that doesn’t work or suit my routine. I used to go to a gym and also to a few classes, my favourite were body balance and…
