Crealy Great Adventure Park, Exeter

We decided to spend Sunday funday at Crealy Great Adventure Park, Devon last weekend. Mr K had been working for 20 days straight and we needed a proper family day out to let loose and have some fun with the children. As always with these great plans the weather was not on our side, in fact we encountered torrential rain for most of the day. I had packed a huge bag with the kiddie’s swimming things, towels and sun cream as Crealy have a Soak Zone which we’ve never been to before. Unfortunately we never got to experience that as the weather was so bad, but we validated our ticket and can return as many times as we like for the next 7 days so are going back this weekend and hopefully (fingers crossed) the sun will be beaming down on us.

We only live about 15 minutes from Crealy and really should visit more often, you can get an annual pass from just £6 a month which is brilliant considering the attractions and rides it houses. When we arrived we headed straight for The Lost World of Atlantis where the children could go on rides and hit soft play whilst Mummy and Daddy had a much needed coffee. We played on the 2p machines and won lots of sweets, had lunch and a glass of wine when hiding from the thunder and lightening. To be honest it was really cosy and I loved every minute of it, the children are at a brilliant age now where they sit to the table and enjoy their meal as well as chatting and planning which rides they wanted to go on.

Charlie was very brave and hit up a few rollercoasters and the swinging pirate ship, he did cry a bit but I think he was pleased with himself. When the sun eventually made an appearance we had a delicious ice cream, unfortunately Charlie hit his chin on a climbing wall and had to take a trip to the onsite First Aid room where he was bandaged up, poor boy.

Overall we had a brilliant time and were all exhausted, we can’t wait to return this weekend.
