The (Not Fat or Big) Quiz of the Year Tag

I have been tagged by the lovely Lisa Cowan to do the Quiz of the Year tag. I love tags and I’m sat here in my PJs with a large glass of vino watching The Real Housewives of Orange County, waiting to see in the New Year so thought I would post this quickly as I’m not officially back blogging until tomorrow. I’m tagging one fabulous lady Karen at Fifty Plus and Loving All Things Nice.

Here we go…

What was your highlight of 2016?

I don’t really have any highlights as such but I’m super proud of my daughter starting big school. She has learnt to read and write in such a short space of time and I’m so proud of her.

Name one thing you are most likely to remember about 2016 if asked in five years time.

It would be when I started my blog in October. After a few conversations with various influential people I finally took the plunge and started my little blog. I’m a bit proud of myself for this as I am so completely out of my comfort zone and I love how I’ve got a diary of my children growing up. I can look back on these times when they were so little and remember how gorgeously wonderful they were.

Sum up 2016 in one word.

Name one pearl of wisdom from 2016 that you will carry with you through 2017.

“Don’t let anyone make you feel unhappy”. This was said to me during the summer when my uncle visited us, he told me this and it really stuck with me – I need to remember it.

Do you have any New Years Resolutions?

No. I have goals that I’ve written down and I intend on working on them but I’m not putting any pressure on myself whatsoever as I’ll just be miserable if I fail.

How are you seeing in the New Year?

We’ve just watched the movie Trolls which was amazing, both kiddies are in bed and I’m chilling on the sofa with my wine and tubby belly. We are probably going to watch a film and then eat some sort of junk food. To be honest I will probably be asleep by 10pm. If I’m still awake Amelie has asked if I can wake her up to see the fireworks.

What would you most like to do in 2017?

I would like to worry less and not sweat the small stuff. I want to relax my parenting a bit, see family more as life is so short and so precious. We are going on holiday in May, which has been on our to-do list for ages, I would love to get married in 2017 but that is looking less likely as we need our loft converting – there’s always something!

What are your main goals for 2017?

A bit cheesy but I just want everyone to be healthy and happy.

I hope you all have a fantastic New Year’s Eve, see you on the other side.
